They are going on that they should have had 3 pens. Doesn't work like that.

If any are given then the game takes a different route and any later ones don't happen.
Gives the first then the other 2 don't happen.
Gives the second means first one wasn't given and last one doesn't happen.
Gives last one because first two weren't given.

The officials had 3 opportunities to give 1 penalty. That's the way it works.

That does not seem to match what seems to be getting said everywhere. It could be some type of a damage limitation thing after seeing everyone having a go at them for doing what they supposedly did about the VAR etc

I'll sound mad here but I think the nature of Mondays defeat helped us yesterday.

We weren't great by any means but there was certainly a reaction in terms of mentality. If we'd got beat 1 or 2-0 at Chelsea I'm not sure if we get that sort of reaction. But because we were so abject, it literally couldn't have been worse so the team talk almost writes itself.

I know majority of our football is dire…. But watch our 2nd goal again from yesterday. Fantastic goal starting from Pickford…. Going through 7 players and about 22 touches with a fantastic finish from almost 30 yards out.

We can ply and do have the players…. Better players than the likes of Forest, Luton and even some of the teams above us.

Surely if Attwell was a Luton fan, there was more chance of him giving the pens than not giving the pens? Keeping us closer with us having to face Luton away, that would make more sense if he was trying to do a team over.
