"Must-win game" is a tired, over-used cliche. But it applies here 100%.

If we lose, we'll be behind Pompey, Bolton and almost definitely Spurs going to Stamford Bridge. If we draw, we almost certainly need a point at Chelsea to get 7th (and not guaranteed).

If we win, we are in. Simple as that. 3-0 to the good guys. AJ nets 2.

I have no doubt that we will qualify for the UEFA Cup, but mathematicaly we could beat pompey and still not be in the top 7, the only thing that's certain is that beating Pompey would guarantee at least 8th spot and a way in via the inter-toto.

Does not make any difference, AJ is looking a certain non starter so what are we left with? Well it will not make much difference if we play like we did against the Hammers and for the most part against the Manure. Moyes has got to get the team playing Football and I do not mean the customary tactic of hoofing the ball up field for some one to run after. It is not just Euro placement riding on this but our ultimate league place as it all comes down to loot in the bank.

Part of me thinks the players have got their forthcoming holidays on their mind and not the last games, this is developing into our usual end of season whimper.

Come on you blues get going need at least 4 points from the last two games.

I know this is better than a relegation fight, but why is it that we have to do this to ourselves all the [Poor language removed] time!! We shouldn't complain I know, we're in a good position (for the moment), but FFS, it would sure make it easier for all involved if we had some clear light between us and the pack of mongrels around us!

It would be nice for us to have a consistent GOOD run, kill off the opposition when we're ahead, we need to play like demons for the remaining games. The Manure game will either give the guys a rev up, or get them down. Lets hope they are revved up as much as the fans, cause [Poor language removed], I'm red-lining it now, and the game isn't til Saturday (or Sunday here)!!!
