That's the formation, enough of sitting back letting these crap teams play us on your terms.
totally agree... i see lot of fans here asking to repeat the derby perfomance.... did they see the same game ? you cant really take points from lesser teams just sitting back and defending. everton NEEDS to remember its first form of the season , those first 7 games show a front foot, possesion team, much much needed vs the likes of southhampton.

enough of the long ball to richardlisson or Dcl. this team needs to build offensive variants.

I'd even argue that the fixture at their place ended that exhuberant front foot style and moved us on a path that led to 'the wall' and a different but sometimes equally successful style. Carlo's set up will be interesting Monday.

Everton's home game against Southampton on Monday night will see the Club pay tribute to 11-year-old Alfie Humphreys, who tragically passed away last week.

The Club will display a tribute to Alfie, a dedicated Evertonian, on the big screen at Goodison Park during Monday's match, on 11 minutes. Supporters watching from home are also encouraged to join in with a minute's applause to celebrate Alfie's life.

"He was such a lovely boy and he had a heart of gold," said Alfie's mum, Nicola. "I know everyone says that about their children, but he would have done anything for anyone, especially me. He was my best friend.

"He loved Everton and couldn't wait to go [to see them again]. I've asked all my neighbours to put flags out for him, he absolutely adored the Club."

Alfie's step-mum, Lisa, added: "He was always out playing on his bike or his scooter, or playing football with his friends.

"He was a massive Everton fan and he loved playing football. He was very well-liked and very kind-hearted."

Alfie, a talented Widnes FC footballer, passed away suddenly in his sleep last week.

Widnes FC has set up a gofundme page to help with funeral costs and to support Alfie's family during this difficult time. Click here to donate.

Southampton are without a bunch of players, including Minamino. We all know how that would have turned out if he played.

I've a feeling we'll end our three-month Goodison hoodoo. Which should be a piece of cake after 22 years of the Anfield hoodoo. 2-0 Toffees. Just make it nice and straightforward.

Would be massive for us to win and it’s definitely time for us to do it, no reason not to. We’re at full strength, and they’re massively injury depleted. We just can’t be the same complacent sloppy team that turned up against Fulham and Newcastle.

There are no excuses for not winning this.
9 days off. More or less full strength.
Plenty time to prepare tactically .
Confidence and team spirit high.
If we Don't win it is because mentally we don't get it right.
