We're without a home win for so long that even the statistical probability for us to lose this game is very low.

Massive game this. With Leicester, West Ham and Chelsea all dropping points, big chance to close the gap. I'd go 4-2-3-1 with James in the the no 10 and Richy and Iwobi wide of DCL. Have Doucoure and Allan as the 2 and then back four picks itself really. Bit harsh on Davies but keep him fresh for Thursday

I think it'll be an emotional evening for the Alpine Klopp to be in the same city as, you can only imagine, one of his biggest footballing heroes.

Yes indeed, having Carlo next to him on the sidelines will surely have a big effect on him.
He will be fewming he cant go in to the cavern and Liverpool1 or do the Anfield tour. He's going to take it out on us i know it.

If his tik tok of him swinging out of the John Lennon statue goes viral it might appease him.

Here's hoping.

I will be here. I have become very fond of the club not just because of James or Mina, its history is quite remarkable and inspiring. The fans are passionate, and there is a great community of them here at GOT, I feel part of it. Besides I have been told that once Everton has touched you, nothing is ever the same ;)
It's the type of touch that you shouldn't be surprised if Everton doesn't answer the phone or show up to the delivery room 9 months later.

Nothing at all mate. I'm not saying I don't want James in the line up as I do. I'm just wondering what system we can do with the 2 up top and yes a diamond would work but would limit our width perhaps.

Carlo said in the embargo quotes released last night that he sees Richarlison as 'centre-left' (i.e. inside forward).

I think if they want Allan in - and this is what I'd like to see - it should be a 4-3-3, with Davies and Allan alongside Doucoure, James on the right.

Holgate at right-back for me (albeit it's a toss up I suppose), but the onus then is on Doucoure to support. But with such a solid base, him and Allan should be able to do just that.

I get a sneaky feeling Carlo's gonna play Gylfi, though...

I liked your post right up to the Gylfi bit lol

With Allan back there is no room for Gylfi because if its a toss up between him and James it has to be James.

Carlo I hope you let the players out for a drink last night. They deserve it. Just once they got in before sunrise. No judgement here.

Derby King.

What's wrong with 4-4-2 with a midfield diamond?

Relies massively on the full-backs and also we have to ensure James doesn't get dragged too deep as we saw in the first half at Old Trafford. Southampton press well, and our defence have struggled with that all season.

Personally I feel James is just better either right side or in a free role in a two (like v Wolves and in the derby).

When he starts as a traditional 10, it's easier for teams to crowd him out.

The only issue when he plays on the right from an attacking perspective is it relies on the full-back to bomb on to take full advantage, but then we also lose something defensively... But, if we have Allan and Doucoure taking turns to shield along with Davies, that should provide a better platform.

Let’s hope we turn up for once, although based on the results we suddenly under pressure and Everton dont do well under pressure
