I know it's only been 45mins, but Oviedo isn't much of a winger. Much like Coleman when he used to play RM he didn't necessarily have the guile to beat a full back, but when played a RB he has a start on the opposing full back and can just beat him for pace.

What a goal by Coleman. We look a bit disjointed but that's to be expected I guess with the changes he's had to make. I think if we can step it up we can grab another early 2nd half and put these to bed.

Not sold on alcaraz yet lads, seen a few positive comments on him here but not seen enough with them having alot of space around the box-him and distin a new partnership I guess.

1. Coleman is boss.
2. Lukaku is becoming Jelavic.
3. Oviedo is not a LM. Take him off and play Pienaar.
4. Distin is playing like the old Dustbin today.

Oviedo might be a better goal scorer than Pinnear and would have had one if Lukaku could have gotten the ball to him. Pinnear not starting is fine, he's getting up there in age.

Winning against a quality team with a bunch of subs. Doing fine.

I think Alcaraz would probably suit playing with Jags better but maybe it's a question of having one right-sided and one left-sided centreback. That's regardless of whether Jags is injured or not.

First half thoughts,

-oviedo doesnt look the same pushed up,
-baines isnt a patch on what hes been the past few years,
-joel is the biggest goalkeeper ive seen in a while,
-colemans bossness gets even greater,
-alcaraz looks a player,
-ossies doing fine thank god

- Oviedo is being double-marked, and if Lukaku could have controlled the ball better Oviedo would have scored our second.
- First game back from injury. Doing absolutely fine so far.
- He's had six touches. He's done nowt wrong, but the game is really being played around him and he's struggling to get involved.

Need to get a better hold of CM....its very congested in there, but you can see the space Rom has to run into,,,just need that pass. I'd maybe swap Osman and Barkley around. I think Pienaar will come on soon too
