thought we played alright. we are really lacking creatively but thats nothing new

Noticed a few subtle changes today.

1st half no pressing from the front and prepared to let Lisbon have the ball in their half.

2nd half pressed from the front and pushed the defence up a bit.

Looked better 2nd half but will all depend on what players he has available or brought in.

Tbh it looks better than the usual 'Dycheball shouts' from some .

Badly need a bit of creativity tho.

Just back from the game, I’d imagine this has already been said but Gyokeres looked decent first half against Godfrey but Branthwaite was much better against him. Branthwaite looks a great prospect tbf. Gyokeres would definitely have been a useful addition though (suprised how much of a unit he was tbf)

I thought Gyokeres was decent through out, probably tired a bit in the second half. He's a strong lad and he would have done well here I reckon.

To be brutally honest, I thought Branthwaite got a bit too physical, a bit too close at times and Gyokeres very nearly rolled him a few times, just something hopefully Branthwaite will learn with experience. Although I thought we looked poor defensively in general on the left as soon as mykolenko came on for young.

Iwobi is a very poor player but compared to Maupay he is Messi.

I'm looking purely on today's game Maupay did okay given that he had little to no service. Iwobi was doing a good impression of the invisible man.

I thought Maupay was awful. Yes, the service could've been better but he tackled his own player at one point and stopped Garner from scoring at point-blank range.

He did, he was stretching massively to get to it and must of known he wouldn’t connect properly. If Garner shouts for it then Maupey has mugged him, I hope young Jimmy gave him both barrels.
Maupey did ok, he’s just totally unsuited to being isolated.

Could’ve been any result today, two pretty evenly matched sides. Good sign for the season that we ground that out, though, I thought.
