Is it always this bad on here after a game? There's a lot more right than wrong about this side and it's not going to take much to turn it round if we're patient. We're not defending well but how many of you would drop Stones who was easily our worst player today? Players have to learn together what it takes to win.

It's the obligatory fume mate.

Fans are passionate people and need somewhere to vent their frustrations when their team doesn't perform well.

Give it a few days and we'll be back to talking about our "young spine" and "bright future" and "cheese on toast".

.....we should have an automatic shape we go to when defending a lead, instead we just look vulnerable and wide open to balls down the channels.
\\

This without doubt. We were asking for trouble. We do it second half every week. It's not exciting. It's just daft. Did we think stoke were non league or something. We are complacent and arrogant

Good point. A lot of what I'm saying is to do with the frustration of how good we can be. Imo we have the best spine of a team in the league, with delofeu added to it this season. These players will be good enough to win titles imo and we have to keep them but to keep them they need to start getting into the champions league. This season is an open goal to do that.

oh, dont get me wrong. if we dont win something with this lot ill be gutted and im as frustrated as anybody else that our defending and other factors are cancelling out what is as good an Everton attacking unit as I've seen when in full flow.

The difference between us and the others above is the defense, but we have played most of the season with two youngsters in there and our main defender and best player out for a long period. McCarthy has missed a few now also. As hard as these defeats are to take, you always need to take it in context even if ultimately you are still not satisfied with the job being done.

I would agree with criticism of the boss on continually selecting Howard, but to be honest I think most managers will stick with their experienced keeper and an experienced head when putting so much faith in youth elsewhere.

Howard is an utter joke mate.
We looked far more composed against boro with joel in goal.
Playing howard is rank weak management

as usual daz you are over the top.

as i said, i would be sure most managers would go with the experienced head when it comes to keepers and centre backs. Pretty normal managerial decision to stick with Howard.

Not that I agree with it completely as Id like Robles to get a run, but the keeper is not an "utter joke" and it is not "rank weak management".

As our leader said on Twitter, Incoming new owners will not be as lenient on Roberto Martinez. He will have targets and if he doesn't achieve those targets, he will be gone. Until then, he has the comfiest job in the premier league.

Its not over the top.
Howard has cost us a hell of a lot this season and should be nowhere near the 1st team.
He is awful and you can't hide behind that excuse to play him.
It is also weak management because martinez is scared to drop him.
