When I was a lid playing 7 a side in the legendary footballing hamlet of Skegness we played some team from Sunderland. Their coach/parents wouldn't let their kids shake hands with us cuz we played in black and white, so from then on I've never really jumped on the Sunderland love in. The whole northeast can just detach from the UK and float away as far as I'm concerned! ;)

Something something pictures something preview something 8-0 Ebeptoh

Now I've actually read the preview, great as usual. As you rightly mentioned Howard Kendall at the end, it seems fitting that we play the team I think we produced our greatest 'proper football' performance against, not only in Kendalls years but in all the 45 years I've been attending games, we were just scintillating that day. Come on lads, get into them.

....they beat us 1-0 at Goodison a few seasons back in a similar situation to this. We need to get our season back on track with a win, I hope we go for it because we are better than them. If they start with the two CBs that finished against Newcastle then Lukaku should be chuffed. Penalty waiting to happen.

First goal crucial, we get it, they come out and we batter them.
They get it then long, long afternoon in store.

It was a sad week, lowering our greatest ever manager into the local soil. At such things it's where you don't just think, but know, that's there's something very special about our team and it's city.

If we want to truly honour him then there's no better way than to play attacking and aggressive football. Winning football in Everton blue. Creating memories that remain vivid thirty years from now.

Reid's cross Gray.

Into them blues.

Perfection squire. Perfection.

Have a bad feeling about this game. Teams have sussed us out and we have had no answer. We have no tempo about our play. Teams comfortably sit deep and watch us act like crabs in our own half. When we try to go forward, our attackers have 2 or 3 defenders converge and force a mistake. This allows them to break. We then allow too much space out wide and sit too deep the center of the park. Rom is too isolated. Direct balls aren't connecting. If we don't start well, I can't see us winning. Not losing, but definitely not winning.
