Was jumping up and down and then Reidy who commentating in front of me, said offside, How Van Dyck stayed on is beyond comprehension
Deffo. From my spec i was right in line with it. Van dijk knew what he was doing. Onana was starting to break through their centre and so van dijk did him. He had the confidence that the worst he would get is a yellow. Before he injured himself the other season in the derby he had gone around the pitch doing richarlison and calvert lewin. He then crocked himself trying to get into pickford. One snide him.

Listened to his interview...

We dropped two points.
We felt like we lost and they thought they had won (pause) obviously.
We had enough chances to win.
Everton played aggressively throughout the match (the little cat of an interviewer would not ask the obvious follow up question)

I absolutely hate him and want him to get absolutely smashed during a game soon!

The commentary of that game was terrible.

Liverpool made two subs near the end with one of them being Jota and the other Matip and one of them says "Liverpool are really going for it now with two attacking subs".

FFS they really wanted it to sound like we were hanging on.
I swapped between two different commentaries and the narrative was Everton are getting slammed. Media and the corrupt footballing authorities really do hate Everton and just talk crap.

Today showed the thing that when it’s missing I find us unwatchable: intent. We tried to play for the full 90 minutes. Our defensive line just visibly looked higher up the pitch to me.

Gana just fitted in like he never left and him and Onana already seemed to click. Can see Onana really taking that Doucoure spot now full term and getting into the opposition box with more regularity.

Today much more than any other game this season I’ve seen a change. Please don’t revert back to cautious zero confidence football. We have real shoots of quality.. but we must build on this now.

Super pleased with the character and determination shown today, a proper performance from a team that is really under the cosh since last season.

I saw progress today, some great performances, Patterson, Iwobi, Coady, Pickford and Idrissa for his small cameo but the team performed as a unit and if this continues, results will come.

I actually enjoyed the game, bad decisions aside.

THEY are nothing this season, hope someone smashes klippety right in the kipper the freak.

Maupay should have bagged, could have been three points but a really good performance against a solid team, with some good play, hearted performances and energetic.

I genuinely, for the first time in a long time, came out of Goodison today feeling pride of being a blue. Patterson, Onana, Coady, Tarkowski, all four absolutely fighting every 1v1, every duel..

Also great to see Gana back and doing those little touches which make a big difference.
