....like the after-match dressing room reaction in the ‘Tunnel Access’ vid. i know some folk are throwing in the towel because we have City in the next round, but I think our players will want to win a lot more than the City lads and that counts for lots in a cup match.

I agree and there's no pressure on us. If we'd played Southampton I think we would have had a not dissimilar chance. That said, City do seem to like the domestic cups, having won both in 2019 and already in the league cup final. I don't expect too much rotation. We did beat them 4-0 at Goodison not that long ago, and I think we beat them in the first leg of the league cup semi as well a few years ago.

Interesting to see some of the press coverage of the Spurs win. The Times went with Mayhem on Merseyside. If it had been our friendly neighbours,no doubt it would have been the Greatest Game in FA Cup History.

I don’t know what to think, if I had to dig so hard for 125 minutes to get into the 1/4 final and then find out that I have to play city I would be absolutely fuming, this could be amazing season but also again a big disappointment
not negative just pissed by draw :D

The extra 30 makes a difference. Having worked for two football clubs, one of which enough contact with their physios/performance specialists, players go into a redzone of 'risking injury'.. So while they may be ok Saturday, they are more likely to be fatigued and to pick up more injuries.

We will feel the effects come 70 mins on Saturday when we have no rotation options. Winning without James and Allan last night was huge, both could come abck in Saturday and be massive.
We are playing Sunday night, we have players to come back, James, Andre, Joshua and maybe Allan. Sure we might be down a few but if our attitude is right and I believe it will be we will be fine.

I always expect us to win and I think this squad/team will have a good chance against City, its 5/6 weeks away . I for one fancy us.

Would have been a good final, but either way, we would have to beat them to lift the trophy.
