I really don't know what to make of this game anymore. We are seeing politics seep into Var. The technology works the people looking at it are the ones to blame. The last few weeks have me baffled.

I feel terrible for Gomes, That kind of injury changes a career. Seamus has never been the same god help him and I think his personality is a bit tougher than Andre, I really hope I am wrong but I am worried we have seen the best of Andre. Son came in from behind with deliberate intent to not just foul but to foul hard. I am fine with the red.

I admire Richarlison's talent but at times I am embarrassed he wears the shirt. Grow up son and get off the ground you are too good a player to behave like that. His game lacks integrity. Had he not acted like a 10 year old most of the game he may have got that call at the end on Davison when he was clipped, when we really needed it.

Holgate played well except for his flyby on the Dele goal. He has nice pace and his game complement's Mina's nicely. Keep him in. Davis was MOTM for me i counted 3-4 beautiful through balls. Keep him in.

The volley by Digne was class. Thank god Tosun got to it first. The fact i had to type that tells us the state of our strikers. I miss Rom and his voodoo mom.

I also don't know what to make of Silva. I want to like him but we fired Keoman for similar results with a poorer squad and a harder schedule. To be fair we were the better team today and should have won.

I really like Mina no one wants to play against him. We don't have enough players like that.

Brands, buying for the future is fine but you you need to bring in enough players that perform now to steady the ship. Despite some good buys our lack of a proven striker is all on you.

Good post. I'm still taking the game and incidents in. Maybe give an opinion later. One thing...the 'atmosphere' on Sky was non existent. Was it really poor in the ground or was it just poor on Sky, when it wasn't helped by Carragher and the commentator generating no kind of enthusiasm, simply talking to each other like two old codgers sitting in the snug with half of bitter each. Man of the Match Davies...he has to be given a run. And Tosun deserves to start.

Expected Spurs to beat us so can't complain with a draw, all overshadowed by that freak injury to Gomes though, it's going to have a psychological effect on the team for a few weeks at least as well as missing a key player when we really need everyone at 100%

Saw the incident right in front of me. Horrific.
Thought Son was wound up after what he thought was an elbow. And he clearly intended to bring him down. But didnt see it as a red card. Gomes fell/slid into the oncoming Aurier. Horrible. Yellow card I thought.
Atkinson is abysmal. Stood there like a statue when Gomes was stricken. Coleman came onto the pitch to hurry up the emergency first aiders.
Atkinson got so many things wrong. Needs to retire. As for VAR.........needs binning!

And....Silva has next weeks match to save himself in my opinion. Defeat at Southampton and its over for him surely.

Yes...I meant to say 'apart from after the Gomes injury and Son red card'. But Carragher and his mate...terrible. Tim Cahill lost for words as well, Saha very articulate.

I can’t watch what happened to Gomes. All my prayers are with him. It was a tragic injury and hope he recovers well as his entire career is on the line here.
Son was visibly distraught. He is one of the few players I like personally and hope he recovers mentally as well.
