watching spurs today, the players know exactly what they are doing

spurs were playing blind passes down gaps the runners were committed and didn't stop, their passing was crisp and accurate and they found space easily

there was one moment where sissoko just trotted and did a 1-2 past davies and sprinted down the middle like usain bolt and davies just stopped cos he couldn't even get near him

we are so slow to react and so slow moving forward

spurs are dangerous because they are so quick and efficient going forward, its simple football too but our players can't even do simple sideway passes never mind first time blind flicks down the channels and behind the defence
improvement this spud x

I turned it off at 1-4 and haven't bothered checking the final score. I haven't even read anything here, just went to the last post and sent this.

BTW, thanks for the Christmas greeting, Joey, haven't worked out how to reply privately.

Think what annoys me most is that everyone laughs at Everton's record against the top 6. They make jokes about it when talking about the team. That should absolutely infuriate EVERYONE involved and get a response like we did against Arsenal in Martinez's first season. It doesn't. The response is a timid acceptance one.

I'm so done with being OK. I don't know why anyone at the club doesn't get this.

I'm at a loss. Bewildered. I don't think anyone thought we were top 4 just yet, but the last few results have been poor and this is just embarrassing. I thought we had brought in enough quality to compete. I think the team he's picking isn't a million miles off what I'd pick. And yet...

Transition seasons usually have some positive signs for the future in them despite the results... I’m yet to see positive signs for the future.

Richarlson? Gomes? Digne? Lookman? Brands ability to locate and sign players? Silva’s high press pass and move style compared to the sit and pray for free kicks/corners? You’re right no future sell the club and move on.

Silvas style of play hasn’t resulted in a single impressive performance since he took over, name one single standout performance this season ? There have been none. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want him sacked as changing managers constantly is tedious as hell but we’re really not much better than last season bar a slightly more ambitious style of football. I’m not seeing anything that makes me think we’re going places or in the process of closing the gap to top 6.

The lad who wasn't even on the bench today?
You’re saying he has no promise because he’s not on the bench 1 game? I understand. Schniederlin shows head and shoulders more promise because he was on the bench and even got to step on the pitch and blend in with the grass

You were saying that you were happy with the positives going forward for a player who wasn't even included. Ie: how is he a positive going forward with nobody saying he was out injured?

3 deadline day signings, a totally new system compared to what’s been played the past 3 years, and a team still in transition from recovering from the Walsh era. It needs time patience and belief all of which Silva has shown in heaps so far and we’ve given nothing in return. Give us a ST with at least 7 goals this season and we could be sitting 11 points higher
