It's a top 6 side so I'm struggling to harbour even a skerrick of optimism toward winning. A draw's a possibility I guess but I think these are too good for us and I reckon 2-0 will be the outcome.

Pickford
Coleman Keane Zouma Digne
Gana Gomes Davies
Sigurdsson
Lookman Richarlison
Zouma back in for his pace and ability on the ball. Mina has been a tad slack last few matches too.

Push Coleman and Digne up as much as we can.

Lookman and Richarlison stay inside their full backs with Sigurdsson looking for the pockets of space in front of their back line.

Gomes looks all beautiful in the middle, Gana and Davies provide energy in the midfield to disrupt their play and lay it off quickly when they have it.

I'm fine with playing Zouma instead of Mina, but it's definitely not for his ability on the ball. Mina is MUCH better on the ball than Zouma.

I think we also know there is no way in heck he plays that lineup. No chance.

I'm not sure why anyone would think we'd play with 3 at the back at home against these guys.
If he doesn't trust anybody but Gana to play next to Gomes without the added protection of a third central defender then Gana not being healthy may lead to another 3 CB game.

This will give us an indication of where we are. The gulf between City and Liverpool is vast, the gulf between Liverpool and Chelsea is a big one as well, but, the gulf between position 3 to 6 is not too great, so...let's see how we go against the spuds.

So you think the gulf between a Chelsea side that is 7 points behind 2nd place City is a bigger one than the gulf between 3rd place Spurs and 6th Mancs, where 13 points separate them. Not to mention the 15 points separating us from Spurs. Logic that. lol

The gulf in class between the top 4 and the rest is absolutely massive. The RS and City are both on course for 90+ points this season and Spurs are just 6 points back of the RS so they've done incredibly well to stay up there with both of them. That being said, we need a reaction. Going into boxing day with fewer points than we had last season is a bit of a kick in the teeth. Spurs don't draw so if we can have a bit of luck on our side and put in a performance I think we can just about squeeze out a win here. Hopefully go into Christmas with a positive result here.

For me if you want DCL you have to play him over Richarlison in any 3 CB formation. Maybe 4 at the back you can play Richarlison on the left but last time we did that vs Newcastle it wasn't the beast.
Richarlison is the first name on the team sheet. Still plenty of room in the side for another goal threat though.

Pretty sure this will be sold out, just hope we give the players some actual support, I reckon they could do with it right now.

To be fair, almost every game is sold out now unless it's midweek on TV. If the fans can't create an atmosphere for this I think we are done in that department.

You have to balance goal threats with creativity. I love Richarlison but he only gives us the goal threat currently so him and DCL may leave us short of creators is my concern.
