Going for a draw.

We seem to have real trouble beating awful teams at home this season. It's a real bad sign that we fail to break them down and ultimately don't even end up testing their goalkeepers because we don't have the ability to play any defence-splitting passes, or when we do make such passes, the players aren't on the same wavelength and the ball goes directly out of play or to the keeper.

West Ham (disgraceful defeat), Huddersfield (awful result to draw), Palace (made very, very hard work of it - two late goals to win), Southampton (again coming from behind - need to concede a goal to wake up), Brighton, Fulham (our two straightforward victories), Cardiff (ultimately won but made hard work of it), Newcastle (very poor to not win).

8 games, 17 points from 24. And we haven't even faced a top 10 side yet at home. The points look ok, but look at the opposition and the fact that we just about scraped the points in three of the games.

Failing to beat all of West Ham, Huddersfield and Newcastle at home is just ridiculous. Maybe you can accept one, two if it's the result of a poor refereeing decision, but it's just been that we weren't good enough.

I can even imagine Watford going a goal up and us coming back again with a second half equaliser.

Will be very, very disappointing if we cannot take the points here.

With the quality of our squad and with Man City and Spurs coming up next the only acceptable result for me in this game is an Everton win. Silva has somehow got to resolve our goal scoring problem. There are a lot of games between now and when the transfer window opens in January so he has got to come up with a solution. We have scored just 2 goals in the last 4 games. A good place to start for him i would suggest is to improve our passing game as it can be very poor at times and we give the ball away far too often including in the final 3rd. I think it is only Gomes that isn't wasteful currently. Another area to look at is our crosses and corners as we pose no threat at all currently. It is hard to even remember a corner that created a shot at goal as they are few and far between. We have got to do much better. Even the crap teams can pose more of a threat in set pieces than we do.

Hoping for an Everton ransacking in this especially considering the recent shenanigans between the 2 clubs. We owe them a proper good hiding on top of everything else. Come On You Blues.

All these people banging on about a lack of goals, yes we need to sign a top striker in January and realistically another RM but the only reason we didnt win Newcastle was simply starting Rico out wide.

Tosun and DCL are garbage and its like playing with 10 men so for me that result was on Silva. He saw our upturn in performances since moving Rico up top and sadly he gave in to fan/red echo pressure after the derby result - "PLAY DER TOSUN AND DER LUCKMAN LAD" and we saw the results of it.

Go back to the same team as usual and we'll win monday.

Shot to nothing here,
Is there anyone who is driving over for the game from Newcastle? Hoping to take my girlfriend to her first ever Everton game. Thought that us stuffing Watford would be an excellent time to do so.

Pressure's gone now after dropping points over last two games, so the bottler personality of the club shouldn't be as much of a factor now and we should pick up a win here.

Whenever we get in a position where a win will put us in a really advantageous position, the club bottles it as sure as night follows day.

Don’t use that word again

Really we should be targeting the Cup now but I've got a feeling Silva will pay little attention to it, meaning season is practically over.

And shoulders will be shrugged everywhere.

We're going to continue to struggle until we sort out the forward line. Our best hope is to keep it tight and try and control the midfield.
Going straight to a defensive mind against Watford is going to kill our boys chances of getting a very obtainable 3 points
