The old guard, plus the new Messiah let us down last night I thought. Jagielka needs to be moved on whilst there's still a bit of value in him, likewise Howard. Barry I can give or take, and Sylvain is simply aged. Alcaraz needs to move on too, as does Pienaar. I would look to integrate Garbutt, Ledson, Galloway and Browning.....I'm all for getting good youngsters in and giving them a chance.

Bright spots were Besic who was outstanding and who is genuinely getting better and more dominant by the game, Stones who is going to be an absolutely complete defender and Oviedo who is a refreshing bundle if skill and energy.

I'd take 10th and Europa league win all year. Think the players would too. I mean, 4th is a great achievement, but winning this Europa would actually cement our place in the CL group next year wouldn't it?

We never looked like scoring the penalty either. As soon as I saw the players arguing with Mirallas, I knew it would end badly, as if to sum our whole season up.

Lukaku and Naismith were terribly off their game while Ross needs to be taken out of the spotlight for a little while. Besic continues to gain confidence and was clearly our best player. Kone did well against Krasnodar and Newcastle United and is due a start.

Personally I think its 50/50. They played the same way the week before at West Ham and drew yet little was made of that.
