If we want to win this league maybe two more good signings will get us there. Cause our subs do nothing but make us worse.

richarlison could easily be on 4 or 5 goals now , he’ll destroy someone next couple of games
Ha ha.

Beat you to it.
He's not on the scoresheet yet but he could easily have had 5/6 over the 2 games. I don't think he's the type of player to let it bother him though and I fully expect him to open his account in one of the next 2 games.

If he has to steal the ball, he has to be right up with the player.

That's why I thought he should have come up to meet the player.

You are taking this too literal mete. It just a saying to try to make a play not just keep running backwards and allow the attacker to shoot. To meet the player as you stated

The majority of the Everton teams of the last 20-years don't come back from 1-0 down there.

One of the lads mentioned it had a Norwich-esque feel to it. Yet, we were patient, got a little bit of luck with the goal, and then the red but were excellent.

Their heads don't drop, and they hold on.

Question is though, do we win that if the fans are there? Would they be quick enough to cane them?

But we've got the most exciting midfield and attack since Arteta, Pienaar, Cahill and Yak. Delightfully pleasing that there today.

I really don't get the first goal - mina just kept backing away.

Is that how you guys would defend it? I would try to keep tighter, so the west brom player couldn't shoot, but still a yard ahead so he doesn't get beat.
Not at all. In Colombia they teach us when defending counter attacks like that. Either the player makes it through, or the ball, but not both.

Mina should have tried to stop him and foul him if necessary. Even Mourinho said that in the All or Nothing documentary
....defended poorly, Mina in particular I thought. Dreadful allowing the West Brom player to run so far for the first goal, he should have stopped him before he got in range.

I think Mina had 2 options;

A: Back off and then usher him wide

B: Go to the man. If he did that he'd have had to take him out. Otherwise the player would have just bombed past him.

This is why we cant have Keane + Mina playing a high line. No recovery pace.

Hopefully we bring in Tomori
