But who would you have him replace? Overall, I thought that this was a hard-fought win, but I think we need more "non strikers" that can score a goal for us. (And I'm not sure McGeady is going to do that for us...if his performance in a green shirt is anything to go by).

I don't know about that. He had a terrific season on loan at WBA last season and a few weeks ago, someone here said that they usually used him as an impact sub. I haven't checked it out, but maybe that's the best way to use him.

Incidentally, I haven't seen the first half yet - slept in - but Pienaar was terrible at times and I'm surprised he's had so much praise here.
 
West ham had every single player in the box when Lukaku scored.

Watched MOTD, damn fortunate Barry did not see red, so it was one of those decisions that went our way. helps balance things like Clattenburgs refereeing.
 
I think there was more than a hint of "protecting players" about that team selection and substitutions yesterday.
