If you think that we were poor today, like myself, just imagine how things would of gone if Song, Kouyate, Downing, Valencia and Sakho were all fit for them.

Their depleted XI made more tackles than us, won more aerial duels than us, had more corners than us and had the same number of shots as us. We were playing at home ffs!

Its quite something that we managed to win. And yes, 3 points is 3 points but we can't bury our heads in the sand here.

Maybe so but even there strongest team would have had problems with Barry, Stones, Baines, a fit Barkley and Mirallass in our team.

They still only put one fluke in the net and we got 2

People saying "Hibbert played well" aren't paying enough attention to what's happening on the pitch. Sure, he didn't do anything "wrong", didn't make any howlers. But we couldn't build any momentum through attacks down the left hand side because Hibbert isn't capable of actually moving forward with the ball. It's not his fault, he just shouldn't have been playing there

Poor performance but a big 3 points. Credit to Martinez for making the correct substitutions and changing it in our favour despite the overall performance. Great to see Mirallas get some minutes and Barkley will play himself back into form soon I'm sure. We missed Baines going forward but we were clinical (well, Eto'o wasnt) and did what we had to do.
