I think my main concern still is that we still struggle like feck to score goals.

Creating the chances is generally ok.. it's just always that final ball or shot/header that hardly ever seems to come off. That Iwobi sitter was the perfect example of how bad we are at converting a lot of guilt-edged chances and it needs to improve dramatically as a matter of priority for me.

Have to say I'm a bit shocked Iwobi received 5% of the MOTM votes. Thought he was outstanding except for the goal he should have scored. Cue Sigurdson Coleman and Schneiderlin back for Brighton and a 2-0 loss. I will gladly see Silva sacked if that scenario unfolds.

Agreed. I voted for davies, but I sort of knew Gomes would win this.

If he makes changes for Brighton - see my post in the other thread, he will deserve to be sacked when it goes wrong. Coleman and Delph on the bench end of

Isnt Monday a happy place and feeling after a win

Also that one at the end when West Ham got that corner, if they scored would VAR go that far back?
Absolutely disgraceful decision.
Ya just knew it was our day when Pickford saved.

Pretty sure VAR can't go back to that. Has to be within the same movement of play, the play/ball had stopped.

Just watched the game mate n Iwobi did well but did waste the ball a few times, had he scored his sitter he probably would have got MOTM.

In defense of Silva a lot of players have missed too many chances, Stuff like the Davies and Iwobi thing is why we aren't top 6 and why sometimes we end up drawing/losing results that we should be winning.
We miss the most basic and obvious chances you could ask for.

Picked Iwobi for MotM as I thought he made a real difference in the centre, but it could easily have been Gomes of Bernard. Thought Davies was good and Sidibe looks like a good signing too. Walcott was very good in his build up play, but his final ball is still a bit lacking at times.

Fear of change and stubbornness is why we're not top 6. Drop Iceland, drop DCL, drop Schnides, bring in Bernard, Davies and Richie up front gave us a lot more going forward.

A great display on Saturday.

This is how Silva wants to play, though other sides won't be as co-operative as West Ham.

From the teamsheet, I wasn't sure how this team would line up. We've now got a larger, more versatile squad.

If only we had a centre forward...

Thats expected when 3 of your front 4 (Bernard, Iwobi & Walcott) are not renowned goalscorers.

Thats why for me Kean has to play as he looked to have a strikers instinct at Juventus.

Until we add atleast one proven goalscorer to that front 4 alongside Richarlison (who himself can miss a howler every now and again) we will always struggle to score goals.
