Schniederlin shouldn't have been started given his personal circumstances, bad decision
Holgate is no centre half
I like Bernard, tosun will bag goals
A learning experience

It’s been a while since I was this upset at a result. Utter garbage from front to back.
Disgust in the passing - overrun - the centre backs more Holgate wise he was dire - Kenny up v a fast winger did okish no creativity yet - Tosun missed sitters - Niassie hit the bar we had chances yet gifting goals and being overrun is poor and worrying!

We have two major issues as I see it:

1) we're using a defensive system that simply isn't yielding the desired results. Whilst the personnel aren't completely blameless we just seem to be left exposed time and time again by this high-line setup. Very concerning that we now seem to be conceding easily from open play just as well as from set pieces. Yerry Mina isn't going to automatically solve the problem so it's a major cause for concern for me..

2) our strikers aren't scoring and, on the face of it, really aren't good enough. I've been patient with Tosun, but we can't rely on strikers who seem to run on confidence which both he and Niasse seem to when it comes to converting chances. Both squandered absolutely golden opportunities today when we really needed them to be hitting the mark.

Both of these in tandem could prove to be a recipe for disaster unless Silva and the board do something about it.

The zonal marking is horrible, you can see why we're getting left exposed because we're spread too thin leaving too many holes for opposition to exploit, it's never going to work with the youngsters because they're not experienced enough to position correctly and it's not going to work with the likes of Jags because they've got zero pace, might work with Mina & Zouma paired together as they're older and got pace but right now it's a failure.

Attack has its own issues but I think a lot of it stems from the zonal mindset

Kenny and Holgate will never be premiership quality.. neither even resemble footballers tbh, they look like schoolkids playing at lunchtime.. no shape and holgates distribution is terrible, overhit chipped balls into the cornerflag all game. Passing stats are disgusting.
And to think there were people on here at the start of the season lauding him

10 minsxbefore half time and 20 mins after was not lethargic and static or gutless. Did you expect Silva to come in and work a miracle like?

The same manager that went on a terrific run with both Hull and Watford after joining with worse players, yet cant do a thing with ours.

Maybe the players we have just cant follow instructions and thats the top and bottom of it.

Disappointing game and some seriously poor performances.

Kenny is like a poor mans Hibbert.
Holgate has zero strength to hold off an average striker.
Gana is so weak when asked to play in the middle on his own.
Siggy just doesn’t influence the game enough, he’s a passenger.
DCL is a championship player at best.
Tosun lacks confidence and has no pace at all.
