It's not luck, though. It's incompetence. I have said it all season: all this blaming the Premier League, Richard Masters, VAR, and refs is all well and good, but Everton find ways to shoot ourselves in the head. We don't need others to sink us. We do it to ourselves.

We've somehow managed to find ourselves with two impotent strikers who are doing their level best to relegate us out of sheer incompetence. Yet, there is no accountability from anybody: not from Thelwell who bought Beto or Dyche who did nothing for his confidence by persisting with a player who couldn't score once in 20. We get what we deserve.
