Hammers is my bogey team. Mainly cause of that cup penalty defeat tee years ago.
I hope we play our best XI cause they surely will.
If we need to rest players lets do it saturday. We need this trophy and we have to go for it with all costs.

Will Moyes still be managing from his sofa?
"David! David! You're on mute David!"
Moyes’ Zoom background?

Be interesting to see what team Moyes puts out. We should beat them anyway. But I suppose it would be better for us to take on their second string. We don't need a hard match. We need a straight forward routine win. No dramas.......no hysterics.......no nonsense......no injuries.
I don't trust our second string. Except for two players.......Gordon and Nkounkou. Those two players should imo be on the first team bench. And pushing for first team football. What was the point the other day of having Iwobi....Siggy.......Bernard and Davies all on the bench? For me it should be any two of those and Gordon and Nkounkou.

Anyhow........I don't trust our second string. So I suppose I'd like to see us go strong. Hopefully put the game to bed early. And then make changes.
Goals win football matches. So I'd go with DCL.....Richarlson......JR(more game time to get this guy up to full fitness) imagine what he will be playing like when he's fully fit??......Bernard ......Gordon.
Allan and Doucoure in midfield.
Win the match early. Then "rest " JR......Richarlson and DCL.
That's the theory folks.......just hope that's how things pan out in practise......we can't lose to what I believe will be a second string WHU.

But if we load our team with Siggy.......Walcott.....Davies......Kean.......Kenny....Delph.......then it's anybody's guess. So I'd go strong.........better safe than sorry.
Then it's all systems go against Brighton. Win both these matches. Keep the feel good factor going. Regroup then during the international break. And go again. Keep winning football matches....
Looking good folks........so no stupid slip ups.....please.
Note to Pickford........Focus......focus.......and focus again. Up The Toffees.....
Le Professors hammer thumping Toffees.......

.......

Also: didn't Carlo say in his presser the other day that Delph would start this game? Suggests one XI one for the league and another for the Man City Testimonial Shield.

We have traditionally loved smashing West Ham. I think even Reidy scored against them one time and when interviewed afterwards he said he gets a nose bleed when he goes that far forward!!
i believe he said that in reference to the goal he scored in a 1-0 win vs Spurs back in Feb '86...somewhere I still have a Pink Echo that reviewed that game.
By the by, West Ham's best ever 1st division finish was that season (third...behind us and Voldemort's lot)

Those of us with a certain number of miles on the clock know fear that accompanies hope. We have experienced hope before and it didn’t end well. We know good things can happen to Evertonians it is just that they happened quite a while ago. We have been conditioned to believe that a good run of form is not a precursor to something good but an omen.
If we beat West Ham it just deepens the sense of impending doom.
Five wins out of five, just exactly what does Carlo think he is playing at. He is an evil man.
Couldn’t agree more. My 50 years feel like 100

I think its important we put out an almost full side for this one, if not full strength. This is the last mid-week game we are going to have for the next few months, so after this week we no longer have to worry about players getting overused and being able to handle 2 a week.

Win it, and you can just focus on the league until December.

Virginia
Kenny Keane Mina Nkounkou
Allan Doucoure Gomes
Richarlison DCL Bernard

Couldn't care less about the league cup. What if we reach the final??

If we reach the final of the Advertisers Dream Eliminator I will obviously remain steadfast and refuse to watch it.

As a concept I couldn't care less about it and have actually said that we should get rid of it altogether for some time now... if we do have to play the Copa Del TuesdaysinOctober, have it as a blooding ground for the rezzies and the youth players until we get somewhere near the final (quarters?). Especially given the fixture pile up we have now.

Then again, winning is a habit yada yada. I reckon Carlo will treat it as a non-priority until it looks like we're in with a shout (quarters?). Then I'll start claiming it is a tournament of rich football heritage and delete all of these anti League Cup forum posts.

Edit: Don't know what I'm on about tbh, can't complain about 24/7 footy in 2020

My first lineup got rejected heavily, bcs it was too weak for some. Then I'd go

Lössl

Coleman
Keane
Mina
Nkonkou

Gomes
Siggy

Iwobi
Bernard
Richy

DCL
