Second string for me with the addition of Digne (so only one of either Keane or Mina play) and they should be good enough to get through. I don't expect Moyes to play his first team given the upcoming league fixtures and rumbles about his job - he's second favourite after Scott Parker.

I want the first team to be kept in cotton wool for the weekend to give us the best chance of another three points (albeit Brighton won't be a pushover). Let's go into the derby with 12 points and feeling invincible.

Carlo has said the target is Europe and the league offers up to seven places whereas the cup is one place only. We could be unlucky with the draw and all the previous rounds count for nothing - so keep our power dry for the weekend.
Please get it into your head that the team who could be unlucky with the draw are the opposition. it is not acceptable for any team to think 2nd place is OK.

Same XI as Saturday for me with the exception of Nkounkou for Digne, Bernard for Rodriguez, and Sigurdsson for Andre Gomes.

Given that there is an international break coming up and Doucoure likely won't be in the France squad, there shouldn't be any reason why he can't play Wednesday and Saturday given that he'll have two weeks off after that.

I imagine we'll play a pretty strong line up, especially as DCL and Richarlison started against Fleetwood and we only have two fit centre backs.

I wouldn't be surprised if Nkounkou started given a comment by Ancelotti last week, and perhaps Kenny if he thinks Coleman needs a break. Hopefully Rodriguez will be available from the bench if needed, and perhaps one of Allen / Doucoure will start, because our midfield will be week without them.

A comfortable win please Everton, looking forward to the game.

Hopefully a convincing win, stay on the crest of this wave of positivity and straight into the Brighton game with everyone fit, motivated and raring to go. Would love to see Everton finally win this competition, it's proved a great stepping stone to greater achievement for many other teams, let's finally win it before they discontinue the bloody thing.

I'd like us to really go for this. As close to our first team as possible. One of the teams I thought would be the biggest challengers for the pot are now out.
