After the torture of sitting through that match yesterday it has taken until today for me to simmer down. For me, it should be a 'watershed' moment for Moyes, just like it was for Walter Smith when we got beat 3-0 at M'Boro in the QF (I was at that game too and we were 3 down by half time also. It was Walter's last game and last night I had the feeling it might be the same for Moyes. Having this morning read quotes of his after match interview I don't think he will go before his contract ends, nor will Bill force him out. So I think he stays until we finish the season in 6th or 7th. That's no improvement on last season and he said he would like to see if we 'improved' before deciding! Therefore , and on that basis, surely he's gone if he's true to his word. So to my mind if he respects us and the club he should either sign a new contract pretty soon or leave, so that we all know where we stand and start moving forward as soon as we can. This 'limbo' state is damaging.

If he does go, I would definitely acknowledge the way he steadied the club, and elevated us back 'towards' the top end of the table. We all know what's needed to make the next step but that's BK's remit, so we share Moyes' frustrations there.

One thing I won't miss though (if he goes) is 11 men defending corners at home. In this regard yesterday was the final straw. We were 3-0 down in the second half of an FA Cup QF and still brought every player back to defend corners! When the ball comes out, it goes straight back in to the danger zone! Game was lost, but he still wouldn't break from this strategy, and for what - to make sure we didn't go 4-0 down. Dear me!

Well people, ive tried to be constructive, honest and realistic about my comments on here. Were all unhappy and frustrated but WE ARE EVERTON. Times like this supporters at Everton are at there best so lets somehow try and move on and get behind the side for Manchester City on saturday and bounce back !!!!! As for moyes id like him to grow a massive set of balls and say to the players get out there, express yourselves and go all out attack and put in the performance of there lives because them players owe us and owe us big time. I am going to find it hard to forgive fellaini however despite any performance he puts in and Im not singling him out for the defeat yesterday, but this im amazing, chelsea come and get me bla bla bulls**t and the petulance and total lack of fight and passion yesterday , id like him to just move on. Gave me some great memories, notably the opening day of the season but for me, the attitude he has developed is poison. Thanks for reading and commenting blues.

ten men defending a corner is the result of conceding probably an average of one goal a game for months from simple set piece crosses. one or two outfield players or the keeper attacking the ball and we would have won about six games we drew or lost, and despite everything might still be in the cup. its not a matter of spending millions its just a simple adjustment that should have happened in january when it was glaring rather than just obvious as it was in the summer. someone mopping up the way Gibson does would also prevented another goal or so a game,

You just ruined it at the end there mate.

Lets face it we have been mediocre for a few weeks now, if not the past few months. I was talking to a few red noses on friday night and they were like 'you'll beat Wigan easily they were ****e against us', I was a telling them that we were just not performing and I think we'd struggle. However, I still thought we should still beat the likes of Wigan at home in the FA cup.

As soon as I saw that teamsheet on Sat morning, I thought wtf is he doing playing 2 lightweight cmf in neville and osman, we are gonna struggle with possession and pace. What message does that send out to not only his squad, but to the fans and to the opposition? Moyes is supposed to be a figurehead for the club, to lead by example. Yet he drops our best cmf and plays a 2 of arguably the weakest midfielders in the country. I know Osman can play on occasions, but he's too lightweight and playing them both was a HUGE mistake!

Then we come to the decision to persevere with Jelavic. Again I think was a HUGE mistake. He hasn't performed for months now. He hasn't really looked like scoring and all he does is run the channels. Well sorry he wasn't brought here to run the channels, he was brought here to score. Anichebe was obvioulsy fit, he should have started the game simple as that!

Yes it was unforgivable the performances on the pitch. There was literally no one who came out of that game with any credit, except the subs. Barkely did more in ten mins than the rest of them mustered up in the previous 80. But at the end of the day this game was lost as soon as Moyes pencilled in his teamsheet and that is unforgiveable at home for an FA cup tie against inferior opposition. Moyes has one chance to redeem himself yesterday and he ****ed that up. As soon as the 3rd goal went in he shoiuld have subbed Neville and at least one other. He should have made an example of them there and then!

Between Heitinga , Mucha and Neville i fear most what Neville could cost us -
Wigan is stronger in attack than in defense - Neville is going to have his work cut out for him -
hope our def mids do not leave the back 4 unprotected -

then we will have mucha to worry about the heightinga of our defenders ........

Sideliner's post is on page thirteen of this thread about midday ,from the moment the team is announced plenty of posters like this gasp at this decision to play Nev.
now I suspect not too many of the posters are paid 60 grand a week to pick teams to win football matches, the man in the street could see the problem with the line up.now hindsight is a wonderful thing but it does make you wonder where the management teams head was for this one .bitterly disappointed yet again by poor team selection, what seemed like an unmotivated team and overall inept management.

i cant recall too many times where i ve stayed away from some sort of EFC media fir so long but i still cant get yesterdays result out of my head
..... i was out wit my missus yesterday i was driving and i said "check the score on ur phone babes" i nearly wrote the car off when she told me.....i pulled over saying ur looking at it wrong.. and then i seen it H/t 3-0 down all over in 3.5 mins and ive stayed away from it all till now

all teams have off days and players play bad but yesterday was a another chance closer to possibly winning something and EFC failed miserably ....personally DM can go as soon as our last match is played and he can take FELLI, NEVILLE, JELA, HEITINGA,VIC wit him

i want to buy a season ticket for the first time when they go on sale tomorrow. I cant afford to pay it all upfront so want to pay using the direct debit scheme.does anyone know if you get credit checked if i wanna pay by direct debit?

Not at all. Defensive Dave has done this for years, if not the whole 11 years he's been here.

and January didn't need fer and negredo, experienced cover at centre half and for Gibson could have been all wrapped up before the window opened. when we didn't you had to assume that this displayed confidence in the youngsters. apparently not..as direct result we are sixth when some small changes would have meant we were fourth

We could have had all the shiny brand new players we wanted, Moyes would have probably benched them for Neviile and still display the same lack of tactical nous.

Totally agree with your comments. I still feel sick about it and to make matters worse that lot across the park have just gone above us. Norwich away, fulham away, newcastle at home, norwich at home......all last min goals coming back to haunt us now. Havent felt this depressed since 92/93 season
