Had to spend the day paddling a canoe for my girlfriend's birthday so only caught up with this at midnight.

Much better than the Villa game, look a lot more lively with Kean up top, a danger with the ball at his feet, super strong and he's constantly getting into good positions he's gonna be alright once he gets the first.

Richarlison MOTM for me, just kept getting better the whole game despite some rough treatment from Wolves. Thought Delph was very good too.

Two fluffed clearances cost us two goals and could have been worse if Pickford wasn't on it in the first half. Second half looked a lot more assured, however.

Great things to see:

Richarlison good form
Gylfi good form
Iwobi a stud
Delph solid
Goodison rocking
Dangerous looking attack
Not folding on first sign of adversity- punching back 2x after giving up equalizers
Passion
Commitment
3 points

This is the key thing for me, as well as coming from behind in midweek. We hadn’t won a game in which we’d gone behind or conceded an equaliser since Brighton at home in November last year.

We played okay yesterday, and we looked a bit more solid. still a bit too sloppy at times for me though. One thing I found weird is how we're able to deal with any balls that come at us down the middle, yet anything coming at us from wide area's we're all over the gaff.

Great header from Iwobi, and a decent game all round. Delph looked solid and covered a fair bit of ground (almost Gana like) Kean still finding his feet. I actually thought Gomes was MOM, he really put a shift in, was solid, and put in a few meaty challenges.

We gave the ball away a lot all over the park. Hopefully this changes as the team get into a better rhythm but partly a result of having a lot of very direct players now in the likes of Richarlison, Iwobi, Kean, Sigurdsson.

Right back looks like a weak spot to me. I suspect this is partly a result of the fact that Gueye would have covered the right hand side a bit more than maybe Delph & Gomes do, and the fact that Richarlison doesn't track back as much as Iwobi/Bernard on the other side. You can see it a bit in the average positions below: Richy quite far forward leaving a lot of ground for Coleman (who isn't the quickest) to cover.

Just heading back to wolves now , great game for the neutral , and will take what ever gloating comments on the chin that come my way . Thought Everton played well offensively , but we didn’t help our selves gifting you the first goal which is unlike our captain coady . We played very open which is very uncharacteristic of us , but new from starting both vinagre and traore we would be suspect in defence . Congratulations on the win , and look forward to seeing you at the Molineux for a bit of revenge . ;)
Wolves team selection and performance today showed what every commentator said last season
Your squad is too thin with no real cover
Once one or two of your first 11 drop out you struggle
A full strength 11 and it’s a different game today
The Europa is going to crucify you this season as it did us 2 years ago and Burnley last season
For
All your Chinese money and Mendes skullduggery you have a very good first 11 buy a very thin squad

A very good win ,in the end. We took our goals superbly but both goals were defensive errors, which is the first time for a long time at home. I thought we played really well going forward especially with Gomes and Delph in midfield. Tough call for MOM as there were 4 or 5 possibilities. Went for Delph in the end for showing excellent leadership and some great midfield play.
I think Bernard offers more help defensively to Digne than Iwobi does
Iwobi will have to work on that side of his game especially away from home
Hopefully that will come as his fitness improves

I'm genuinely astonished that Delph isn't winning the poll. He was the best player on the pitch by a country mile.
Lads only see goals and not the big picture
Without Delph we lose that game
Oh I was non pluses by his signing but a few more games like that and he will have made me change my mind
I was a fool to doubt Brands
He may not have delivered all we needed but all his signings have been good so far

Great performance, just fell asleep a few times which is a shame.

But really good overall. Could easily have been four or five.

Pickford - 7 - Claimed everything crosses wise. Made some good saves early on. Couldn't do anything for either goal.
Coleman - 6 - Got forward well but struggled defensively.
Keane - 6 - Out of position a few times but solid enough.
Mina - 7 - Immense in open play. Looked a bit dodgy from set plays. In fact, see the same for Keane!
Digne - 6 - Made up for his mistakes at the back going forward, but needs to be smarter against quicker players.
Gomes - 7- Back to normal. Second half he was exceptional.
Delph - 8 - Really, really good. Clever on the ball and calmed us down at times. But really pressed well and made some vital tackles/interceptions.
Richarlison - 9 - Just needed patience and a bit of time to get up to speed. Desperately unlucky not to get a hat-trick but his work rate going back was superb.
Sigurdsson - 8 - His best performance since Man Utd, probably. Class act on the ball and we actually got him involved. And he makes stuff happen.
Iwobi - 7 - Great header. Faded in the second half but we've got a good player here.
Kean - 6 - Just didn't quite come off for him today at times but still some really nice touches. He'll get there.

DCL - 6 - Not good, not bad. Right sub, though. Should probably have been on 5/10 mins earlier.
Bernard - 7 - Looked really sharp when he came on. Brilliant to have such a good option as him to come on.

Silva - 7 - Right team, right tactics. Just left his subs too late I felt, but not real complaints.
Very good summary
I know goals win games but I thought Delph was the best player on the pitch today

Voted for Richarlison, he terrified them every time he was in possession. Thought the pairing of Gomes and Delph looked nice and tight, Siggy had his best game for some time and some of our passing was nice to watch.
Overall a very entertaining game, Wolves are not a bad team either.
Agree with the Delph and Gomes comment
They never threatened us down the middle
Both goals came from the wings
