We played okay yesterday, and we looked a bit more solid. still a bit too sloppy at times for me though. One thing I found weird is how we're able to deal with any balls that come at us down the middle, yet anything coming at us from wide area's we're all over the gaff.

Great header from Iwobi, and a decent game all round. Delph looked solid and covered a fair bit of ground (almost Gana like) Kean still finding his feet. I actually thought Gomes was MOM, he really put a shift in, was solid, and put in a few meaty challenges.

With our fullbacks intent on getting forward, and really being the basis of our attack since we can’t seem to get much going in the middle of the park, this might be the “book” on how to attack Everton- get wide and get in behind the fullbacks. Someone during the game criticized Wolves for dull play for just humping long balls to Traore but they got a goal out of him, he’s a unit and Digne was struggling with him. If Nuno had kept at it Wolves very likely win.

Cracking game yesterday. We showed weakness defending - Digne got skinned time after time and the second goal was poor defending. Bur heads never dropped and we were deserved winners in the end. Thought Mina was very good yesterday as was Delph and Richarlison. Our movement was excellent at times and we played some good football.

The movement up top was the best it's been in a while. Gylfi looked like he'd been told to get in pockets of space facing the goal and he kept wandering over to the right picking up brilliant positions and whipping some balls in. Kean made a couple of brilliant runs in a couple of times. 2 minutes after Iwobi had scored, Richarlison was in that flank doubling up with him.

It all looked a little more fluid up top in stages. Then Bernard came on and picked up the pace once Iwobis legs had gone and Richarlison got a 2nd wind once Kean was subbed.

Must say Wolves were very disappointing. Maybe we made them look bad but Neves didn't do a tap all game and that Dendonkey fella we were linked to a few years ago is an utter cart. Can see second season syndrome biting them.

This is the key thing for me, as well as coming from behind in midweek. We hadn’t won a game in which we’d gone behind or conceded an equaliser since Brighton at home in November last year.
Aye. I think our bad patch last year and previous years were because we collapse a bit mentally with any losses and when we let in a goal (a lot of times because of a silly mistake) we think it's all over. The winning streak at the end of last season and bouncing back like this after villa means next time we have another loss or even a few in a row, the players will know they can come back from it... And hopefully the fans too.

If he could cross a ball, Coleman would be not far off the perfect right back. His running, his positioning and his tackling are good. Hopeless crosser of the ball 9 times out of 10.

Richarlison still spends too much time on the floor moaning, if he had a more consistent go at them, they would have been down to 10 or 9 sooner. But that's just a moan, about someone who is a brilliant player.

I thought Delph was fabulous, and although Digne struggled with the pace of the stocky little wing back, he was mostly good going forward and the ball for the third was sublime (take note Coleman).

Keane was good mostly, Mina too. A couple of sloppy goals - we had started to cut those errors out and they need to return to that form soonest. Kean did well and showed plenty of promise, as did Iwobi.

All in all a satisfying day. Delph M-O-T-M for me.

Bizarre how we keep getting all these teams on their poor day at Goodison. United Chelsea Arsenal Watford Wolves who knew they would all coincidentally have their poor game just when playing us. I’m sure Match of the Day will have the answer to that question though.
It’s amazing. If you didn’t see Graeme Souness on Sky yesterday then he explained why we were able to get Moise Kean. Apparently he has behaviour issues which is the only possible reason why Juve sold him.

Bizarre analysis of the game on MOTD2 last night they focussed on Delph having a good game, fine. Then banged on about Wolves being poor at the back yesterday which they were but what about a bit of credit for our attack? Probably asking too much.
