Nah it was a typical first game of the season. Both teams rusty. I was surprised just how negative they were

That’s our style - soak it up and hit on the break. We struggle against teams who don’t open up after switching from 343 to 352, which is why we got rid of Costa and Cavaleiro. Adama Traore at RWB with his pace may change this.

Need to let these have the ball abit. These lot sit back and concede possession as there set up to do so and break well. If they sit back and we just sideways pass and put pointless crosses into the box, it’s going to be a long afternoon. Hopeful for 2-0 win. COYB

Silva has an awful lot to prove today. Looking at wolves and in particular Leicester, both have managers getting the best out of their players everyweek. Both also show much better tactical awareness than silva. That is despite the fact we have arguably got a more talented squad than both mentioned, if not at least equal.

We were handed a very easy start to the season and have had a below average return. If today goes the same way as last seasons walk in the park to wolves he has to be under massive pressure for me. And no I don’t think it’s too early to say that he has had a year and preseason to work with the players and at this point isn’t improving them. I never said anything like this last season, even when we were turgent around Xmas because he needed to be given time. I understand there are new players to embed who can improve us but my concern is how poor Richarlison, sig , Gomes etc have been. All excellent players and have looked championship so far. It is silvas job to have them mentally and physically right to play their best and he isn’t delivering given how poor the opposition we have faced.

Having said all of that, despite the fact I think we’re behind wolves right now they are still very beatable. One big performance and a narrow win and things look a lot different. The players have to show they want to play for silva today anything as poor as the opening 3 games and we are 100% getting beat.

Silva hit a hard decision to make today. Iwobi looked great since he came in. He obviously like Bernie. He doesn’t like to drop siggy. Going to be an interesting to see the starting 11.
