Masochistic ST Holder who braved the cold...so fed up and going to not renew next year so someone more masochistic can take my seat (obstructed view anyway). In b4 the NO OBST VIEW POSTS IN THE NEW STADIUM BMD FTW. the smell of our footy will still conquer all (over Cargills and the sewage plant). I think I've had enough of the blues. Not messing. 40 yrs of it and the last ten years have been diabolical.

Went to Goodison today for the first time in ages and was astonished by how abysmal the atmosphere was.

I’m starting to believe what the former Watford goalie Ben Foster said about us Everton fans the other month: that we are a gift to the opposition.

Maybe he has a point.

I imagine that constantly abusing and barracking your own players can’t really help.
Having a go at the fans when the fans are the main reason the club still competes in the top flight.

Bad today all around really and Goodison was very quiet but you cant blame us fans as most are now just bored of watching us.

Cant help thinking a decent centre forward who could actually score some and be able to hold the ball up would improve us no end, but we just dont seem to be able to get one.

We also need more of our midfielders to run with the ball far more often which could move some opposition players around a bit and then open up some space and angles for us to take advantage of. Instead no one moves and consequently we are so easily marked hence the sideways/backwards passes we continually play

Grim times!

We weren't a gift to Crystal Palace that night at Goodison were we ?

Cunha with his 0 goals this season.

Wolves aren't a bad footballing side but there's no goal threat, 8 goals before today. Diego Costa is finished at this level as a goal threat. Jimenez useless since that bad injury. Neto always injured and 0 goals all season. Traore's end product is mostly non existent.

There's a reason they're below Everton in the table.

The fact remains that I’d rather have a number of options for goals like they do than all our hopes hanging on DCL and Maupay with occasional goals from Gordon and Gray.

How many good chances did we fluff today. Iwobi header straight at keeper, Gordon and Maupay both had chances in front of goal. Straight at the keeper. It was poor but we had chances to wrap it up yet they can’t put the thing in the net. It has to be down to lack of belief/ confidence.

Point 1...I hated the fact that Mina and cronies done that stupid dance after a goal so early in the match. Just score and focus on defending!!!!
Point 2...Everton were the better team today but it was against the bottom team, and we still lost. I watched the game with my 78 year old dad and 13 year old son and it's amazing how an Everton loss can cross generations.
Point 3...The love in for Iwobi is totally misplaced. Yes, he has been ok for a few months but he was awful before that period and awful today.
Point 4...I've had a few a Jim Beams and no one reads my comments anyway.

Can not and will not ever, for the life of me understand how any of our fans can live in a world, where in their head they genuinely don’t think our fans are a big hinderance to our team.

It’s absolute plain to see fact, and it’s widely known by neutrals at this point. Yes, games like Palace we can be a big help, but in general we must be the worst club to play in front of in the league.

We give our lovable neighbours absolute dogs abuse for being deluded happy clappers, but they act like their entire team are the best in the world in every position and get behind them accordingly. Whereas we just berate our players every week.

Bournemouth before the WC was embarrassing, utterly embarrassing. I’m 100% confident in my suspicions that a load of rich, young, athletes are getting the coach home from that game and saying our fans are a bunch of absolute nobheads, rightly or wrongly that’s 100% what happens, they’re young rich and famous and anyone that thinks they’re privately saying between them that they’re the problem is absolutely tripping.

You’ve got the likes of Darwin Nunez over the road underperforming and running his knees to the bone to try and make it work to make it up, then we sign someone like Moise Kean who within 10 appearance has completely and utterly given up at the club and couldn’t care a single minute about our fans, probably laughing his head off at every paycheck.

People point to the run in, last season as the fans dragging the team over the line and exactly that, that’s what other teams do every week all over the world, they support the players and it creates a bond where they work for the fans, generally. Whereas Everton are to my knowledge, one of the only clubs in world football that go to home games and away games week in week out and completely sabotage the mentality of their own players by abusing them.
