From the limited time Garner has played for us I think he would help us keep hold of the ball better in midfield. Be tempted to start him, especially if we’re continuing with Gray up front. He needs someone to play some through balls for him.
Judged on last season Garner won’t be doing that, I thought he was attacking but having watched him for us and U21’s, he was more defensive than Gomes. Playing in front of back for and sideways and backwards passing, I really hope Dyche has got him to look forward, as I thought he would make a good signing.

Duncan Ferguson, the Tooth Fairy, and my gran were all more defensive than Gomes, tbf.

I've just done this and I think I might have been a bit biased. I get us finishing 15th on 37 points. Saints, Bournemouth and West Ham going down.
See everytime I have done it I have been really unkind to us. Really only picking up a win or two and losing the majority of games. I still have Forest to have a massive fall from grace and Saints and Bournemouth not having enough quality to do better than us.

My only concern is Forest tomo now. I still think Spurs come out fighting and batter them but it would be typical for a team like Forest to get a miserable, tired, fed up Spurs away who don’t play for the manager and Forest get 3 points. We will all be saying afterwards ‘why don’t we ever get a team who do that against us’.
