I'm getting off the rollercoaster after today. Goes without saying that I would be delirious if we stayed up, and, like Kevin Keegan, I'd luv it it we did that, but we know how that ended for Mighty Mouse. You can only back your own judgement when going through a relegation fight. Mine is we needed three points today to expect to stay up. I think our chances have significantly receded after today and feel that a bit of mental preparation is in order now to avoid a complete psychological meltdown in the coming weeks as the full horror reveals itself...probably in as cruel a manner as possible.

So, the Championship it is. I look forward to seeing you in that thread later in the year.
Honestly can’t stand stuff like this. Until we are mathematically down nobody should be saying anything like this. Were you one of those people who said it last year sitting at home? Or where you one or the ones who turned up hours before the games, went to finch farm? Greeted the bus! Bought flares? Sang until you couldn’t speak anymore?

We are playing well better under Dyche! Well better!! We have been beaten by Arsenal away, Liverpool away and Villa at home.

Yes, we're playing better under Dyche. But I said it in November that we needed to replace Lampard before the World Cup. We didn't and we've left the new manager with no leeway.

My take is based on what I see before me. Fact is, over the last 30 years, the so-called "pessimists" among us have been largely correct about Everton and had their "negativity" largely borne out. It's the "optimists" who have been exposed as delusional. I mean, we all maintain hope - but my expectation is we've probably ran out of road.

So, for me, this week will be a coming to terms with the situation kind of week. Here's to a win next weekend, but I think I'll try to step off the rollercoaster now. Last season was more than enough, and I saw 94 and 98 like many more on here.

Yeah mate, a lot of us have done the same. However you can’t say we are down, so I’m done now. The facts are, we aren’t down and we have to keep going, game by game.

About 5 of those wont play or arent fit and McNeil is not playing left back.

Dyche is climbing a mountain and doing OK, not relegation form under him. As for your 'were you at Finch Farm' comments...some of us have a job and a life beyond football. It is entertainment, albeit one with a strange pull on the emotions. But don't be getting all kopite war medals about it. The reason we stayed up was a raucus full house, DCL and the fact there were three worse teams. Not a blue flare outside the ground or at Finch Farm. Fireworks never won a football match.

I think we'll get tonked personally. They're a very good footballing side, miles better than us that's for sure. I think today was absolutely vital to win because imo it was the easier of the 2 games.

Been seeing people earmark this as a 3 point game for a few weeks now…

They’ve only lost 4 in 23 league games. They won at City and drew at Arsenal. They are as well suited to our more direct, physical style under Dyche than any other team in the league. This is a very, very hard game.

Toney hatrick ,and his ban starts on the Monday after.

Absolutely this ..... new levels of "Everton that "
Its been better under Dyche but it's too little / too late for me.....
The board has sealed our fate with the delay in moving on from Lampard and not getting striking reinforcements.
