just thinking he could be a more creative option

dont have many options for no. 10 role imo
Tbf that's not the type of player he is so it'd be pointless shoe horning him there when we have the likes of : Barkley, Pienaar, Naismith, Mirallas, who all can / play there.

Besic spent his time at Ferencvaros as a centre half and pushed forward to a deep midfielder for Bosnia at the World Cup. He's definitely talented enough to play anywhere but I think we'd be wasting him in the No. 10 role due to his defensive ability. I'd see him as Barry's natural successor but I'm also pretty excited to see if he becomes John Stones future partner for the next 10+ years.

prob right, tbh i hope we buy another no 10 but with our small squad think we need to look at these options

Reckon Gibson could play there?
Nope. Don't think Gibson, McCarthy OR Besic could play there. It's not there role, even if they're good at passing and stuff it doesn't mean they'd be good in that position, especially since it's a totally different way of playing.

It's like when Baines got played LM. He wasn't as good because it's just too different.

Tomorrow will be interesting . The friendlies are getting a little less friendly and a little more serious as the new season approaches.
We will see what youngsters are being seriously looked at for the first team. Duffy in particular, wasn't used on Sunday and if he isn't used tomorrow night then I think it's over for him.
Personally, I think Chris Long has pushed himself forward, maybe past McAleny. Other than that , Garbutt is ready but probably nobody else.

As with Lundstram we will see a few of the youngsters move out on loan again for another season..possibly another to Blackpool and I am not even itk.

Think Browning has made the cut as well - Martinez said 2 out of the 6 had. Those two were always the most likely since they did some training with the first team last year.
