If you're talking about local train travel from elsewhere in Merseyside, the price of a return ticket will be the same as a single, so save yer ma the hassle and go train both ways. The ground's a good 15 mins walk from Rock Ferry rail station.
Where do you live?
Apparently colemans back for paderborn game
Let him stay you arl assWas just putting my eldest lad (only 5) to bed and he asked me
him "Dad, when's out next game?"
me "Tomorrow night against Celta Vigo"
him "Can I stay up and watch it with you?"
me "You can't son, you're going to nanna with your mum till Saturday aren't you" (in Accrington)
Cue tears and sobbing "b-b-b-but I wanna w-w-w-watch it with you dad!!"
Am I a bad dad for having a big proud smile on my face while I was comforting him? haha
(my Mrs is a kopite btw)
Cheers for the info Eggs - Ty and Barkley seem to have spent lots of hours on, or waiting for, buses....I know somebody at FF and can confirm he's a very quiet lad. As folk know, FF is in the middle of nowhere and as a youngster, Browning would travel back to where he lived in Liverpool (I wont say where that is) via a long walk and 3 buses. He'd never shout up and ask for a lift and when was offered he'd not say a word on the journey. He reportedly had a bad experience whilst on loan at Wigan but nobody will tell me what that was (despite me knowing somebody in the 1st team set up at Wigan). Really nice guy apparently.
Wonder if it would help if we had Kone driving a bus for a few weeks.Cheers for the info Eggs - Ty and Barkley seem to have spent lots of hours on, or waiting for, buses.
Think Baines admitted to some self-confidence issues as he started his career and yet now he's a brilliant defender and penalty taker so hopefully he'll be a good role model. Ty seems pretty confident and adventurous when it matters on the pitch, he was close to a goal at the weekend.
Don't think that would help, least of all Kone.Wonder if it would help if we had Kone driving a bus for a few weeks.
He's not highly rated???Ty is extremely quiet and shy. They gave him captaincy of the under 21's to try and louden him up a bit which worked. But it'll take time for him to come out of his shell for the first team.
He's had to come a very long way as he wasn't actually considered that good and could have been released but he absolutely changed as a player a year or so ago and came on massively, it just seemed to click and he's not extremely highly rated by RM and the staff.
Also heard something about his time at Wigan and as to why he was very reluctant to have it renewed / happy to be back.
Think he may have given away a pen or did something that lead to a goal and he got quite a bit of abuse from a certain player / clique in that team which isn't good at all for a lad like him self.
meant NOW! typo! He's not highly rated???
Glad that is the case, he seems a really nice lad on the brief interviews they have coaxed out of him. People develop at different rates and it says a lot about him that he had the perseverance to keep trying despite probably knowing he wasn't that highly regarded.meant NOW! typo!
