Disagree, looks like he prefers Godfrey as he used him in the starting 11 for most of the friendlies, he was injured late last season so Frank had no choice but to pick Holgate

Welch is miles off the first team, Warrington and Mills are definitely closer.

I’m really not ready for another 10 months of Everton. Optimism is in short supply and the DCL injury just compounds that, so I’m really not sure what to expect this season. Looks like it’s just a case of surviving till BMD then try an kick on again? Either way it’s slightly depressing being a blue atm.

You say that but he's a very experienced player. Gareth Barry's first game for Everton, funnily enough against Chelsea, is still to this day one of the best Everton debuts I can remember. He'd literally signed for us the previous day.
