It shows you how far we’ve fallen and why we’re struggling to score goals when Crystal Palace’s options are far, far better and you’re looking at them enviously. We’ve just systematically stripped any quality we had in the final third and replaced it with crap.

Could you imagine players like Lukaku, Mirallas, Barkley, Deulofeu, Naismith? They'd all walk in to this team not just Rom

But he's still an attacker. You've got 1 real midfielder.

Very clever from Pat. Just need a goal and yous get out with at least a point.
He is usually an attacker but has sat deeper in games in this position before. Vieira recognising that Everton have strengthened in the centre and had to react accordingly.

Bit disappointing to see exactly the same team that has looked so limp last few games. Guess he’s not judging them too much against the likes of United, Newcastle etc. and wants to give them a chance at home. If they flip tonight though, 100% we’ll see changes next game.

The boys must have a cutting edge today. Good that we have have some possession recently but I’d rather have a few points. A bit of the same from the corresponding second half from last season would be phenomenal.

Not just walk in but would probably be our best player. Peak Miralls was easily, easily better than Gray or Gordon. Peak Barkley would easily be the best attacking midfielder both in goals and chance creation in this team. Peak Del Boy- easily walks into this team. Even Naismith had more goals in him that this lot. Don’t even start on Rom!

Reaping what we’ve shown from years of terrible recruitment.

It's a mentality and tactics issue. Not sure switching players fixes it.

Not confident at all today, our run of form and lack of creativity against a good, solid attacking side who will be out for revenge for last season, that would have hurt them....
