The boys must have a cutting edge today. Good that we have have some possession recently but I’d rather have a few points. A bit of the same from the corresponding second half from last season would be phenomenal.

If they don't...Lamps should look to changed that forward line up straight away

I was unusually confident after looking at Newcastles starters compared to ours. Now it’s just impossible to know whether we will be good today and score a couple to relax the nerves, or be timid, deep with hapless misplaced 5 yard passes and Gordon sent off twice.

I just want our players for once to ALL play to the level they are capable of, which has barely happened for nearly a decade. Sick of hearing about building, character, leaders, projects and robustness, almost as much as I was sick of everyone last season “taking a look at themselves in the mirror” after capitulating. Just be professional, confident, clinical and win ffs. Surely at some point we will smack some fellow strugglers 3-0 and send the fans home happy. Please be today.

Bit disappointing to see exactly the same team that has looked so limp last few games. Guess he’s not judging them too much against the likes of United, Newcastle etc. and wants to give them a chance at home. If they flip tonight though, 100% we’ll see changes next game.

So sad that playing the Horse Punchers has became an “expected loss” ?

I think Lampard is taking a big risk with Gordon, his head doesn't seem to right at the moment. I hope I'm wrong, but, I really think he is making a big mistake playing Gordon today. I'm quite surprised he hasn't started with Garner as well, things really need freshening up in midfield, both Gueye and Iwobi look tired.
