I was trying to save Coleman because we know what he can do. With Arteta injured, how about this then?

__________Mucha
Neville Jagielka Distin Baines
_________Rodwell
__Barkley Cahill Bily Gueye
_________Beckford

Intriguing and we may see it during the game. I think Howard starts though - he has said he will be in the game at some point. I think Coleman will get some gametime.

Moyes has said that he won't play Howard in the States. But he also said that about Barkley. We could play Coleman at right back because he still needs to learn when to go, when to stay and the correct distance to keep from his centreback. I think we need to find another option down the wings as backup though. It would be interesting to see how Bily and Cahill could work together in midfield. They offer very different threats. Can they get the defensive balance right though?

Arteta is on crutches....how bad is it ?
What moyes says
David Moyes said he may not know the full extent of the injury until the squad returns to English soil, ruling the midfielder out of Saturday's clash with the MLS outfit.

Moyes said at a press conference: "Mikel won't play, he has quite a bad injury on his foot. He is out, definitely. We're getting a scan today, we've had an x-ray, we think we might need to go back to diagnose it correctly."

Kinda funny that Moyes says he needs to go back to England (team doctor?) to diagnose properly. We have doctors in the states too - even Sports ones... Wouldn't he want to know sooner rather than later what's wrong?

Tim Howard will be at the RFK Stadium on Saturday but won't feature in the game. The USA international has his first training session of pre-season the morning before the match.

Moyes added: "Tim Howard won't play because of his long commitments to the USA national team during the summer months.

"We have had to make sure he has had some time away with his family. He will join the team today and he will be at the game tomorrow. He will have his first training session tomorrow.

"He will be here to say hello but he won't be playing."

American medical bills? Atleast he didn't do a Gosling and tell him to stop being a girl and just to keep on playing.

Just printed my tickets for DC United and see I am in the first row of the supporters section, any banner ideas?

Grand Old Team?

The Pride of Merseyside?

Well its going to be 100 degrees with about 146% humidity tomorrow. Not expecting much of a match and we will probably see alot of reserves on both sides.

The fact that Arteta is injured again doesn't suprise me. He was scythed down at least 5 times on Wed.

Waiting for the swelling to go down?
