Wessels certainly hasn't put a foot wrong thus far though, I'm with Bruce on the subject of keepers where as if you've waited for your chance and you've played alright then you should keep the shirt. Granted we haven't seen enough of him but his pedigree is fantastic he also looked very assured and quick at distributing the ball out when he recieves it.

I'm not saying he's better then Howard all I'm saying is Howard has a dislocated finger the keeper we've got inbetween the sticks is turning out some good performances lets see what he can do properly.

As for Guzan and Cannon I've heard of the first, never the second but both ply their trade in the American leagues, I'll admit the standard of football from the MLS is getting better but to say that they are definitely better then a keeper that has performed well against the champions of the premier league and in european competition is a bit rash in my opinion.

Oh there's no denying he's played well. But to drop Timmy to the bench? What you're basically saying is that Wessels can/will do a better job than Howard and I'd say you're in the minority on that one.

(Edit: Perhaps a mod could put up a poll with a thread asking the forum members "Who would you rather have in goal? Howard or Wessels?")

All I want too see is whether or not he is actually better than Howard or not after 2 games I'm not sure but he's definitely not put a foot wrong thus far Howard last season got beat far too often from long range if Wessels doesn't then surely it would be worth keeping him in the net.

Howard is the number 1 as I stated before I've never said Wessels is better then Howard but I would like to see what he can do before we resign him to the bench again I think he deserves that much He came here to challenge Howard for the number 1 jersey not to sit on a bench.

Why?? fair enough he didnt get many good deliveries, but he did nothing with the passes that he did get!, he didnt turn their defence once, anichebe on the other hand did...

I'd [Poor language removed] walk off if i had the calamity trio of Neville, Carsley and Hibbert hoofing those horrendous 'passes' up to me all game.

I've never slagged them off as much as others especially Neville but i was [Poor language removed] furious with that on Thursday.

Same here, i used to defend neville, but on thursday he was dire...

And it didnt help things that osman was running after the ball rather than stay in position...there were so many spaces for him to get into to link baines to johnson and yakubu, or shoot, but he did nothing...

It didnt help that the midfield had no positioning at all, why the [Poor language removed] was Osman and McFadden on the right wing all the time and the left wing was completley free because the Yak shouldnt there.

Stick to the normal 4-4-2 ffs Moyesy.

i was happy with the 4-4-3 formation, it shows moyes was experimenting...but he chose the worst match to try it in, when we have the owrst players of our midfield playing and the best out injured!!
