Have I missed something happening to Chico?

Re the game, thery're on terrible form, worst team in years so all the makings of a Liverpool victory.

If we don't win today then I'll give up going to derbies forever. This is their worst team in years and our best team in years, not beating them would be unforgiveable. But our fans still need be up for it and get behind the team for 90 minutes and make it an occasion to remember.

They are bang average and are absolutely there for the taking, however we need to get over this ridiculous mental block we seem to have when it comes to that lot. We will either concede early and proceed to fall to pieces, or we will be so desperate not to concede we'll be reluctant to go at them. I'm hoping the fact their "Captain Fantastic" isn't there anymore maybe a little bonus as he always seemed to torture us, no matter how badly out of form he was coming into the Derby.

Just for once Everton, release the shackles, and get right at them. No messing about this time!

It's funny really I think like most Everton fans I can't wait for 3:40 on Sunday , there will be probably 10 minutes of stoppage time. Derbies are horrible games, I'm nearly always unwell in the build up to them or the day of the game. Typical I get tonsillitis the week of the derby when we've got the best chance of beating them in years. With the exception of Jagielka's goal in the derby last year, we rarely if ever get any luck at all in derbies. Look at the all decisions that have gone against us in recent years, Anichebe getting punished for being walked into by Reina. Even in 2012 when Suarez got his goal disallowed in the last minute, he shouldn't of even been on the pitch at that time in the first place. Derbies are never enjoyable for us Everton fans. I can't understand Everton fans who watch the derby in pubs with Liverpool fans on derby days, I couldn't bare watching game with those deluded morons. Hopefully on the 4th of October 2015 will be a day to remember for Everton fans for good reasons rather than bad reasons, and we'll be waking up with a hangover after celebrating a victory rather than drowning our sorrows. COYB.

Was feeling far too confident so just watched the youtube vids of 4-0 loss in Martinez's first season, the 3-0 at anfield where he scored a hat-trick and the semi final loss.

At least i'll enjoy it more if we do win, wont I?

I've spoke to a few reds on my team in work through the week. Most are relatively confident. I think from our perspective they've obviously had the upper hand for a while, I think the past few years has seen the gap between the teams close. They don't have those 1 or 2 world class players over us anymore. Yes sturridge has their best goal to game ratio and he is a excellent player. Likewise The Brazilian lad, when he can be bothered can rip any team in the league apart. So what, so can Mirralas, Delefeou, Barkley and Lukaku. And while both teams will probably argue over midfield and upfront which alone that there is even an arguement about it shows the massive strides we have taken, every one of our back four would stroll into their starting 11. The simple fact is yes the Derby used to be our cup final like they loved to remind us of. Now they are just our competition for a European place and they don't like it one bit
