Stop Coutinho and we have this. They have little threat without him.

Pity Besic wasn't available to man mark him. Put McCarthy on him instead maybe and see how it goes. Gibson could come on to help out if necessary.

So much positivism here. It's reatbut this old grizzled Evertonian has seen scores of battles against them and I never expect til its over.
Don't feel confident at all, we are not really bossing it at the moment either.

Sturridge is super dangerous and looks in really good form. I am going to be a nervous wreck Sunday.

You sound like an old schooler like me who has been through the emotional wringer scores of times as we play those jackasses.

They could play three blind men a three legged dog and two christmas fairies and I would still dread it. If its 4-0 to us with 2 minutes to go I'll still be screaming for the whistle. I just want us to win.

Never looked forward to a derby ever. Bit weird now though. Nobody left in their team to really hate. There's nothing that snidey or arrogant about them at all, or particularly good.
they hate their manager a lot more than we could.
So should be looking forward to this, but I'm not. Feels like this has come at a good time for them and poor time for us. We are on a decent run with a side that can get even better but it still feels a bit fragile as though the slightest thing could knock us out of our stride. They have nothing to lose. If we beat them plenty of their support would actually take some perverse joy that it takes Brenda closer to the sack.
Just wish we had a half dozen more decent performances under our belt before this but it's here. Three nil. Kone hat trick cos it's his turn.

Year after year, I yearn retribution for all the injustices in my lifetime in derbies, Clive Thomas, Alan Handballsen, Clattenberg etc etc. Before I shuffle off my mortal coil, I want to see us humiliate them beyond belief and ram the late giggling tit Emlyn Hughes' infamous words back down his satanic throat with "Everton are magic, Liverpool are tragic". I'm not bitter though

My feelings exactly. Every time we go into a derby expecting to win we don't something always conspires against us be it a deadhead decision like Thomas's offside that never was, totally fluked goal (Sandy Brown), injustice such as Hibbo's dismissal, Clattenberg's red shoit holiday and a myriad of other things that deeply hurt, they stick in the throat like a fur ball. They call us bitter, I call them rancid's...................RANCID REDS

Over confidence can be and will be our downfall, I want us to desire it, use their history against them, get revenge and to absolutely understand what this means to each and everyone of us.................its vital to win every time but none more so than now. It's needed for the kids, those young blues who turn up week in and week out wearing the colours, feeling the passion but wondering why they have a hex over us.

On Sunday every blue has to urge them on from the off even if we are playing crap, don't get on the players backs for mistakes, that feeling spreads through the players like a cancer and its caused by the fans. For those of you who are attending I envy you, wish to God I was fit enough to join you, but shout scream and yell them on for the sake of all who can't make it.

Unless we supporters get it right we'll lose, its happened so many times before.......................it's up to you.

Based on past experience plus the fact that we are coming off a great comeback win on Tuesday I'll forecast them winning by one goal a long shot that will fly into the net without Howard moving and Atkinson sending Barry off.

Gloomy yes, honest, yes, but I prefer it that way because when wrong the feeling of elation is untrue.

COYB's cheer like f u ck boys and screw the RANCIDS

......I appreciate we have had a difficult run of fixtures but the Pool are 1 point behind and just 2 points off a Champions League place. They have played away games at Arsenal and Man Utd. They are in the next round of the Capital One Cup with a home draw.

I'm chuffed they are not playing well and under pressure but they are still nicely placed in the league. I'm guarded before this weekend but I'm guarded before every game.
