Man for man we are better across most positions. We are at home. We are in better form. We should win.

As a fan the fixture torments us but the players should be immune. They should win.
First line there sums it up for me.

Surely just once things can go the way they're supposed to?

EVERYTHING says we should win this game. We're at home, we're in form, we're coming off the back of a morale boosting comeback the likes of which we haven't seen in about 20 years and they look woeful.

Please for ONCE can we just turn up, and turn it on against this shower of cretins? If we do, it should be a very enjoyable day...

Not confident.

This is where the inevitable "dominate for 90mins, they have 2 shots and we lose 2.0" comes into play.

I have no doubt theyll turn up not to lose and hope for a smash and grab.

We should just bum them. Bum them till it hurts.

Won't happen though.

Only way we'll win is if we play as many Martinez has signed/brought through as possible. I didn't mind Moyes but he instilled a minority complex in the players heads, made his players fear them. Play Jags and Coleman but that's it.

Howard will play as well, like.

Would have been happy to see Kev play if he was available as well.

I usually dread the derby because we just seem to be either cursed or we bottle it, but I've just got a feeling that we're going to smash them tomorrow. The only other time I've ever had that feeling was before the 3-0 AJ derby.

So you can all relax and enjoy the carnage. Now where did I leave that crack pipe....

I found this to be an incredibly, if unintended, sly dig - I think he meant it to be a dig at his current detractors, but managed to insult us slyly at the same time;

For this, we must stop him from being gainfully employed.

Definitely an intended dig and it plays well with the cult followers. Anyone with a brain however (including their owners unfortunately) will factor in the spend he's put out on mediocrity and realise their start is disastrous and contrast that with our limited spend and see that our start is very good.

Not to mention that our fixtures have been much tougher

Right it seems my prediction league trophy has got lost in the post from my WBA 2-3 EVERTON prediction... So here's my Derby prediction that surely gets me the prediction league title already!!!

Everton 4-1 Liverpool

had the same feeling of the same scoreline, as well as 3-0 :s we most look like idiots on RAWK - haven't beaten them for 5 years and are due an everton moment this season.

At least Rom's looking cool and calm!

three-way rock, paper, scissors - boss.

As many have said which ever lens you look through - form, home advantage, etc - we really should win this. But the onus is on us to go out and win. This is where my doubts surface. We are much better picking off quality teams who come at us - Sotn, Chelski etc. Teams who make us take the initiative can be a bigger challenge for us. Given their poor state at the moment I can see them acting like any inferior team to us and sitting back and frustrating us and we are always vulnerable to leak a goal in this situation.

Can we find the balance between real passion to overwhelm them and wise heads to allow quality to prevail in the end without resorting to slow non intensive tikka taka and possession leading to a stupid mistake?
