Just watched a great example of the media love-in with the redshite, watched Gillette soccer Saturday, talking about the derby, and the first thing they show is a piece talking to former redshite players, ends up 12 minutes talking about the redshite (Yeah I know,I'm a saddo, I actually timed it) and 2 minutes talking about us.

How can people be so optimistic? Every time we our they turn us over. I can't see how that will change tomorrow. Atkinson is ref we haven't won back to back games in months and Liverpool love beating us. It's only going one way folks just face it.
....I wouldn't underestimate the Gerrard factor when it comes to influencing referees. I went to the game at our place a few seasons ago when Mascareno won it with a deflected goal. We were the better side but from the off Gerrard and Maschareno were down the referees ear, particularly asking for fouls against Cahill. At half-time Phil Neville goes to the ref to have a word but is waved away, the referee left the pitch with his arm around Maschareno.
It is a strategy.

RAWK is dreading this massively. Can't afford to get too far ahead of ourselves, but if we lose this it will be so hard to take. We're better than them all over the pitch and without their lord and saviour captain I feel that for once we can have the mental edge.

I just hope for once that they're right, we will turn them haha. Their only reason for why they might beat us is because we're "afraid of them and always bottle it".
Like I say mate we just don't turn up atall and even when we do we still get beat. I hate this fixture for the fact that we keep getting beat. I've convinced myself we will get beat no matter and won't feel as bad.
