Given their current form, no SG and the fact that they have a Europa game on Thurs night then this has to be our best chance to beat them in a long time. My only worry is that Sturridge is back.

I really didn't want the preview until at least Friday because reading it always kicks in the pre-derby nerves. Its a good preview from the OP, but I'll never forgive you mate. It's Tuesday and my stomach is churning already.

Our chances rely so much on team selection, which seems an obvious thing to say, but Martinez was right last night - we have so many options in attacking positions. Crucially quite a few of these players are in form.

For wide positions we've got Naismith, Kone and Deulofeu all bang in form. Lennon has looked fresh when he has come on too.

Does Martinez really go for it? Kone on the left, Deulofeu on the right? Or does he keep Naismith in there to protect Galloway?

I genuinely think that them lot are there to new absolutely obliterated if we can the balance just right.

I trust Martinez to make the very best decision.

Galloway doesn't need protecting against anyone now mate, he has come on leaps and bounds since the City game, especially not against a team that doesn't play any wingers

Guess is he will go with players who ahve 'earned' the spot, so Kone and Deulofeue starting alongside the normal team, Stones 100% to be back - think he was fit for West Brom actually but Martinez really really wants that first Derby win so took no chances, Coleman will be a big one - IF he starts and is fully fit then we could absolutely obliterate these down the right as Moreno is at best a solid attacker who struggles to defend

We're easy favourites, we're better than them in almost every position, we're riding high after last nights comeback, we're going to lose because we're Everton.

Paddy Power has them at very slight favourites at 13/8 to win over our 17/10 win. Has to be because of historical results and not current form.

Great preview! Only neg would be that Sky have well and truly done you here:
Last week saw us record only the second comeback from two goals down in our history.

How Atkinson can be given the Goodison derby when most of us still haven't forgiven him for falling for Goofy's gameplay and sending off Rodwell, ruining a potential classic derby in the process - is beyond me.

They let Clattenburg ref our games FFS -- the FA couldn't care less if we don't like a ref.

I always keep think that "The Barkley Derby" has a great ring to it. Got a feeling this one could be the one.

I hate going into the Derby feeling confident, as it always the hope that kills you, but after the manner we won yesterday and the way we're playing in general, I can't help but think we've got a great chance in this one. No Gerrard to save them or ref the match for them either.

Sound that lid for a first attempt - well in ;)

Just two things though:

We've played that football thing for well over a hundred years mate, not just since the Premier League began.

Why did you have to choose that badge? lol

Red and white wanksocks was boss though x

I think he picked that badge because its the most beautiful thing weve ever seen.

Never gone into a derby feeling confident. This year's no different. The two weeks of the year I go into football hibernation. Absolutely hate these games- god knows how I'd be if I lived in Liverpool. Making no prediction other than that the referee will be a div, and Sturridge will score. Along with Kuyt and Rush.

really hope colemans fit, him and deulofeu could be brilliant ...there was loads of overlaps oppurtunities last night and browning didnt know what to do...
