The reason I say we won`t be back at the top of the game is watching teams like Villa and Newcastle, 2 better run clubs than us and they still be after the takeover with significant wealth behind both can`t break those 6 clubs in terms of revenue and/or league placing or competing for silverware.

The matter of wealth is not as straightforward as it seems. Howe is moaning that Newcastle are prevented by the rules from spending their wealth. Man U? I don't know where they stand rules wise. How do they explain Chelsea's vast expenditure despite the rules? How did City break the rules and get away with it?

You know the ground is in a close residential area right? The wind has been strong enough round here that it could have taken off tiles off roofs on Gwladys Street, the shops on Goodison Road, St Luke’s Church. Way too risky when you have 40k blues and reds around the area

There’s no threat to life - it isn’t windy. It’s more likely someone’s dad would be hit by a car down Country Road than a tree falling on someone.

This morning I’ve travelled from outside London, into Euston and then directly to Lime Street.

No disruption, no delays. Both cities very busy.

There’s absolutely zero reason to postpone this football game.

well the trains I was due to get into lime street on were all delayed, they cancelled the game in good time to stop people travelling, and the weather forecast could have been very correct, putting people in danger for a game. A game. Some bed wetting going on in here. The game would have been a farce with the wind and we know that would have benefitted their attackers as we dont have any.
