Took the dog Thi morning for a walk on the beach this morning, but we made a sharp exit when the rain was turning to sleet, I ran into the papershop to pick up a racing post and a paper for the tv magazine.

I stupidly picked up the mirror, just been reading Derek McGovern betting column and he is loving us struggling.

" My bet of the day is for Man City to make it five defeats in a row for the side that lives in the shadow of big Red. Wait a minute people, I know the odds for that are very short but hear me out.

As we all realise now that last season was a complete fluke for Roberto, he is now transforming this bitter club into Wigan, he hopes to process this further with the capture of Maloney. The scoreline today will resemble one of the Wigan drubbing of yesteryear so I'm saying back Man City on the -2 goal handicap at 5-1. Easy money and you use the winning notes to wash the tears of laughter from your face as you hear the boo's from Goodison on match of the day "

No kick off time in the thread title!? Pfft how the hell is anyone, including the squad, gonna be there at the right time?

Postponed or 3-3 in my view… ;)

Sounds to me like Derek's the bitter one!

Better be nothing in that Maloney comment.

We need to win this. If the lads show fight and passion in the 1st ten minutes then we'll will be right behind them and make it 12v12 (Atkinson's ref). Just stop being a gang of sh...houses and get stuck in. We could do with everyone playing like Besic in the midfield today. Future captain for me by the way. COYB 2-1

We are a funny lot, we play like a Championship side but we believe we can beat the City. This is not our big test, that comes over the next couple of league games. Loose those and the nightmare really does become a reality.

if we're going to lose this game, just start stamping into their spines and roundhouse kicking them in the face with your studs. apparently they're not red card worthy so why not?

Hard one this, but city have a touch of being a manc Everton about them when everthing is looking good fate kicks you in the bollocks.
For that reason only its a win for us.
