I haven't seen or read anywhere about an injury? I just presumed he'd been blown out like Garbutt was last season. He was fit when Baines came back into the side, so unless he picked it up in training/ U21s?

Admire your optimism but can you actually see us winning? I can't, they've stopped playing for RM. They are all good players but coached wrong and when players turn on the manager that's it. For us to have any chance RM would have to be sacked, maybe too late if he was to save it but it's not gonna happen if he stays.

why rest them against Southampton then play them 3days before our biggest game in years? He's an absolute loon.

Very much a 4-3-3. Barry at the back, he has played there before, Gibson has played in big games and we always seem to play better with him, plus his ability to move the ball forward quickly on the break is key. Barkley to play deeper alongside McCarthy. The forward 3 have to do it all alone.
