Wasn't it lovely to finally see something decisive. Coleman tackle, the right pass, Alex running at the defence (actually there was a huge chasm in front of him to the right of the box), a decent pass, the right decision from DCL and a confident, first time finish which eluded the keeper (he was a little slow and it was within his reach but who cares...) and the trailing Newcastle team of 6 or 7 players not laying a finger on him...

More shots, more shots on target, more passes, better passing accuracy, more corners, better possession, less fouls. They were better than us in every metric. A draw would have flattered us. Be honest, if it wasn't for those extra 15 mins. You would all be fuming with that result as you were at half time.
You are missing a pretty important metric out there you flabby journo killer.

Oh they won the less fouls!

And sunshine today! Literally what a difference a win with a performance makes,
I'm not getting carried away but I'm sure going to enjoy my weekend.

What an absolute Grade A bell end you are.

Proper crying because the fat biff got canned

Extra 15 minutes?

You know, I absolutely hate pretty much everything about modern football. The VAR nonsense, the endless favouritism to the "elite", the way its basically become an elaborate pantomime for sky and other TV corporations, everything. But every now and then you get a moment like last night I'm reminded what I love about togger, no other sport in the whole world can get that type of unbridled joy from its fans. Only during a football game could you get that type of reaction from a fans because their team (that was 17th both before and after the game) scored a winning goal against a team that sits 14th in the table! A proper brilliant moment.

I am embarrassed to say that when i saw Alex cut inside after getting the ball from Coleman, I have to admit I truly believed we were going to score there. I let myself get optimistic. Then it actually happened. Only the second time Everton were anything other than despair this season, the other being Gray's worldie vs Arsenal

How would a draw have flattered us when we limited them to only half chances, and not 1 clear chance, even after the red card

Maybe nil nil would have been the "fair" result, but there was only 1 clear chance all match, and we took it.

The only metric that matters is we scored and they didn't, even though we had the numerical disadvantage

You are a right weapon aren't you. All the toon fans I've seen today have said we deserved it from the 2nd half performance because they didn't turn up.

We won. We overcame abysmal var and reffing decisions and after a poor start, were the better team throughout the second half.

Enjoy the win like all other Everton fans...... oh wait.....
