Everton win the media league...sorry prem

I mean. Of course this is always possible. If we have learned anything over the last few years it should be that the money doesn’t necessarily mean success. Even City took years to get it right, for every KDB and Haaland there has been a Robinho and Negredo.

I think with good scouting, decent players, confidence and staying relatively injury free then anything can happen. Newcastle last season and Villa this season has shown you can mix it with the big boys with just a few really good players.

But, there are bargains out there. Trippier being one of them for example. Fantastic right back with a great delivery and cost what 12m. Ben Godfrey in context was 20m. It’s about finding good players for decent prices in positions needed.

There's more than three quarters of this current century left but if you're young enough to see the end of it, Everton still won't win the League again imo.:(

It's almost 30 years since the 1995 win, since then there have been three non 'Super League' winners of the FA Cup. Portsmouth (2008), Wigan (2013) and Leicester (2021). So currently about once a decade you get a surprise but I don't doubt they're working on it becoming even more rare.

If it is any consolation this doesn't just apply to Everton. I expect the RS, two Manchester clubs, Arsenal, maybe Chelsea will hoard 99% of trophies. Spurs don't actually win anything and I'm not sure Newcastle will be allowed to compete. Everton and the rest of the 92 just making up the numbers.

Convinced that in the next few years we will see some kind of UK 'super league'.

Look at the current media coverage, SKY, Prem, BBC, are all giving 95% of coverage to six 'global' supported teams.

Everton FC, and the bulk of it's fans do not fit their narrative.

We may do better in some kind of alternative league.

No club, including us, will ever be allowed to do another 'Leicester'.

In private they are quite clear about that, they don't want competition. And part of that is FFP, rigging the system to protect their dominance.

Does anyone think everton will ever win the league again? My view is not and that's being kind (don't ever think we will even be in the top 3). So, my next question is why brother? Its like fans outside the media teams have a mental illness. We all want glory but it's suits that have decided overwise.

we won’t even win the top 7th again

This. They've got their crown jewels. The sides that bring the most money in, will be protected at all costs, unfortunately.

Anyone who thinks the executives don't have a big say on the weekly running of the PL are deluded.

Who can forget this beauty of a shout, which preceded both City and Liverpool obtaining 100 points and winning 15/16 games in a row, with both given a strweth of controversial decisions along the way. Getting exactly what he wished for

There is no conspiracy though. No sir.

Everton winning the league is the worst outcome possible for tv companies as their biggest subscriber base would not watch it. Therefore it will never happen. Sports follow what the money dictates, and in the PL that is the big 6 winning it in rotation between them and not allowing any incursion in.

We were/are BIGGER than City in pretty much everything but investment (which obviously brings the team). So if we, by some miracle had similar investment (and time to build the team) whats to stop us from joining (again) the big 6/7/8?

Dare to dream, otherwise there really is no point in supporting one of the 14, unless you are happy with just being a team for the big 6 to play and for them to cherry pick our best players and not allowed to spend more than they want is to.

Big 6?

We've won it 4 times since Big Club Spurs last won it.

Ask Newcastle how that's going.
