Everton Youth Teams Thread

Everton u18s movied up to 3rd place after a 2-1 away win to Derby who were unbeatend since early sep and on an 11 game unbeaten run,-this was our 5th away league win in a row,to keep us 3 points from top,the top 2 had big wins today, goalscorers were Gordon and Mampala, our next league game is away to stoke next saturday

TABLE

Liverpool 26 points from 12 games
Man city 25 points from 11 games
Everton 23 points from 11 games
Man utd 21 points from 11 games
Derby 20 points from 11 games

13 goals for Gordon , 8 for Mampala, they are proving surprisingly competitive this season , I thought they might struggle. I wonder what the discussion around Anthony Gordon is, re consideration for the U23s, he seems the ideal foil for Hornby’s size.

In other news ... Con Ouzonidis is out injured at the moment. Early December I saw that we had given three of the Welsh U17s contingent Scholarships for August this year. Names are not officially announced until July usually , these were unofficial sources .

It looks like some u23s results went our way tonight i think, well at least if we start winning games in hand on some,Leaders liverpool lost away to man city, there 2nd defeat in a row,2nd placed Leicester with 4th placed west ham,

EVERTON U23S are away to bottom placed spurs u23s at midday monday, spurs have only 2 league wins all season,1 since mid august-that came v arsenal in october

Table after tonight

Liverpool 30 points from 14 games
Leicester 29 points from 15 games
Arsenal 23 points from 13 games
West ham 21 points from 13 games
Everton 20 points from 12 games
Swansea 20 points from 13 games

3rd placed Everton u18s,3 points from top are in action away to 6th placed Stoke u18 sat morning with an 11am kick off,A win would put us 2nd for a few hours at least, and a massive win by 6 goals would put us top [depending how 2nd placed man city do as they play later than us],Everton u18s have won there last 4 away league games [or 5 of last 6] and usually do ok at stoke, scoring a 4 [won 4-3] and a 5 [won 5-2] there 2 of the last 3 years [hornby scored 4 of the 5 that game]

Former youth player Ryan ledson linked with a move to Preston good to see him going back up the levels .always stood out a youth age level and captained England a youth level . always thought there was definitely a premiership player there

Be a good move that, I get to see Preston fairly often where I live, steadily progressive teams. Oxford just signed that Brannigan from RS so maybe they know he’s off.
