HT 1-0 EVERTON u18s
The lad from Liverpool, attacking midfielder who also has scored quite a few goals. Think his name is jones? Is england captain for that age group.I fail to believe there's a better attacking midfielder/forward than Gordon in the country at his age and he still doesn't seem to get selected for England.
yeah, almost like one of those things, you win one,i win the next one etc..the indications were that this would be a close game.
2-0 Everton on 70 mins,Abraham/Smith own goal. 2-0GORDON makes it 1-0 EVERTON on 17 mins
See if he gets picked in the next squad mate. I can't see that they would ignore the lad indefinitely. Maybe Gordon has only started showing this level of performance this season.I fail to believe there's a better attacking midfielder/forward than Gordon in the country at his age and he still doesn't seem to get selected for England.
Agreed, there have been loads of Everton players in England youth squads recently. Doubt very much he's been ignored for that reason.See if he gets picked in the next squad mate. Yeah I think youth standards in England are at an incredibly high level at the moment so you need to be a bit special even to make the squads it would seem.Very highly regarded before this season but I suppose he's kicked on to another level
CHELSEA after they beat sunderland 2-1 in extra time, and ARSENAL who have just won a pen shoot 5-4 this minute after the equalized 1 min from the end of extra time to make that game 4-4,both joined EVERTON and SPURS in semi finals OF THE U18S PREMIER LEAGUE CUPEverton u18s go through to the semi finals of the premier league cup after beating Fulham 2-0 with goals from GORDON and own goal,Fulham went down to 10men on 80 mins due to a straight red, Everton join spurs in semi finals,
Other 2 Q/F games, one sunderland v chelsea has gone to extra time, and Arsenal v norwich has just started 2nd half
Before those,4th placed Everton u18s,1 point from top, return to league action away to 8th placed middlebrough next sat
Curtis Jones, scored a couple against us in the last u18 derby, one a cracker. Slippy has him down as a future England international. The lad from Liverpool, attacking midfielder who also has scored quite a few goals. Think his name is jones? Is england captain for that age group.
Some line up that. Whoever we get will be interesting but Chelsea walking the southern division so it would be good to avoid them at the semi stage.CHELSEA after they beat sunderland 2-1 in extra time, and ARSENAL who have just won a pen shoot 5-4 this minute after the equalized 1 min from the end of extra time to make that game 4-4,both joined EVERTON and SPURS in semi finals OF THE U18S PREMIER LEAGUE CUP

We effectively sacrificed that competition for the Cyrus game mate. Very strange decision for the club to make IMO. I'm pretty sure there were ample U23 players who could have made up that squad, as good as it was to see the likes of Hornby and Gordon get their senior debuts...the big disappointment for me is that we failed to get through the FA Youth Cup. I’m probably old fashioned, but a team with a top player get through that competition, it even happened with Rooney.
While I agree that the Europa game affected some players at u 18 level , we really didn’t have many options open to us mate. The Europa rules are convoluted but a big aspect was that young players needed to be at the club for a full two years to be eligible . Once Big Sam had made the decision to leave many at home there were few eligible players left apart from u18 players.e.g Sambou , Gibson , Adeniran , Bowler etc were unavailable. We effectively sacrificed that competition for the Cyrus game mate.
