Thanks for keeping us up to date with all of today's U18's matches: Regarding Keiron Phillips, is he eligible for the FA Youth cup team this season, if his birthday is in July then possibly he is too old.
Cheers, that sounds about right for Phillips. Like Lewis Gibson he’s a “young” scholar for his year which runs 1st Sept - 31 August. Technically he’s overage for u18s but it’s obviously allowed and it’s great to see him coming back from injury and banging in the goals.
His next challenge is to step up to U23s and earn a further contract . Such a tough environment for these kids , do you compare him with Gordon/Simms/ Adedoyin who he’s currently playing with or Hornby/Mampala his pre injury peers. He could be our hidden gem , held back by injury but now flourishing , or ......

What a finish for his 3rd goal
..agree, 2nd was impressive. Took the ball on the spin then had the presence of mind to finish despite being sandwiched by two defenders. That was a ‘that’ll do me” goal.
They are 3 great goals but that first touch fir his 2nd is superb, gets it right out of his feet and only one thought on his mind "I'm getting my 2nd here"
